I used to have - and not like - the E-PZ 18-105mm f/4 lens for my FX-30. While it’s great to have constant f/4 and a motorized zoom, its downfall is the absolutely giant minimum focus distance at higher zoom. No such problem with the E 18-135, it can focus super close at any zoom. The variable aperture is no issue as the depth of focus at higher zoom is super shallow anyhow. And then you get the range up to 135mm! If they had a motorized zoom version of this it would be perfect.

I received the lens last week, last saturday I decided to shoot my first show using thi lens mount on a Sony A6300!� I am very satisfied. I used Lightroom for developing the raw files. I have had these lens for a few months now and I'm extremely pleased with the image quality. It really compliments my Sony A6000.

I bought this to replace my 16-50 & 55-210 lens, found it hard to constantly switch lens, which made me mostly shoot with the 16-50mm. This lens is so versatile, giving me the extra range I need while providing a much improved image quality and sharpness.

This is the second one I bout. The first one suddenly developed problems with one side getting way out of focus. So I hesitated about getting one again, but it is so nice to work with that I took a chance. I use it mostly on my full frame cameras, in both APS-C and FF modes, depending on the size of files I needed. At full frame, the lens does quite well at the 1:1 aspect ratio.
Yes, it is a big step up from the kit lenses!

At half the size and 58% of the weight of a dslr lens of similar focal length (27-202mm), this lens is useful for travel and when you're not on assignment and you're shooting for yourself and family. I don't normally buy aps-c format, but after purchasing a mirrorless Sony, and reading the reviews, i took a chance. I love the bokeh. I think Sony took this into consideration, because a lot of their mirrorless lenses have very nice bokeh. This lens is also incredibly sharp, but like with other lenses, stay under f/11.

Great lens which I got at a good price.

I tried to take the most minimal camera kit I could take on a recent vacation to San Francisco and Napa. This was a such a nice choice. It was easy to pull the camera out of the bag, quick to zoom and focus as needed. It covered so many great shots from wide angles on the bay to interesting landscapes with out of focus close or far elements. Very happy with this choice!

I can't say there will never be any copy variations as there often are with ALL lenses. But when I received my A6700 kit with this lens I wasn't expecting all that much. I was pleasantly surprised that it was sharp one end to the other. VERY stable with it's OSS built in coupled with the A6700 bodies IBIS. It has no slack and is a very tight build. Even the corners on my copy are darned sharp. I see no real weakness in this lens and will enjoy it's exceptional 27-200 reach.
