A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8 Mark II Lens for Sony E would have the focal length equivalent of an 18mm lens used on a full frame camera.

Q: 2. Will this work with a full frame camera? (Canon R6). Or is there some drawback I'm not aware of?

A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8 Mark II Lens for Canon RF is designed only for cameras with an APS-C sized image sensor; When used ona a full-frame camera like the R6, it will cause vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of each image).

Q: 3. Has anyone found the lens profile used in Lightroom classic for correction?

A: The Lens Correction tool in Lightroom Classic is in the Develop Module. There are two tabs: Profile and Manual. Not all lenses have a profile and for those that don't you can manually correct.

Q: 4. Whats the difference between the MK II lens and the normal 12MM? Does it use ED glass like the Cine Version?

A: According to the manufacturer, the five (5) main differences between the original 7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8 Lens and the new 7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8 Mark II Lens for Micro Four Thirds are the following: (1) the appearance, optical design, and structure of the lenses are different; (2) the minimum focus distance of the original lens is 0.2 meters (7.87 inches), whereas the minimum focus distance for the Mark II lens is closer at 0.15 meters (5.9 inches); (3) the new Mark II lens adds options for the Nikon Z and Canon EOS R lens mounts; (4) the original lens did not support the use of filters, whereas the Mark II supports 67mm filters; and finally, (5) the new Mark II lens has improved image quality with increased edge resolution and reduced overall distortion. Unfortunately, 7artisans did not mention the presence of ED or aspherical glass elements.

Q: 5. Does Photoelectric mean, the lens adds EXIF data to photos?

A: Photoelectric is just a brand name. 7artisans Photoelectric 12mm f/2.8 Mark II Lens for Canon RF does not add EXIF data to the photos unfortunately.

Q: 6. Has anyone tried it with night start, or galaxy shots? how is the center and corner performance? Thanks so much!!

A: 7artisans Photoelectric 10mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Nikon Z will not create a circular vignetting. It fills the frame. The corners are distorted but it fills the frame.

I recently started a project photographing old buildings in Georgia and needed a wider lens than my 18nn f/2.8. I saw the price on this one took the plunge. This lens has a wide field of view and it shows very little distortion or vignetting. It is solidly made of metal and very nicely finished. The focus ring has a short throw and is very smooth. The aperture ring has no clicks but has enough resistance that it is not easily knocked out of adjustment. I am very satisfied with this lens and would recommend it without hesitation. 5

I am using this on a Sony A6400. I wanted a small/light lens to always have on my camera and be ready to go, an auto focus lens was a must as well. This lens meet all my criteria. It feels great on the camera, it focuses very quickly, it has great colors, and it is very sharp, very happy with this lens, I highly recommend it. 5

I tend to only buy Nikkor lenses but Nikon doesn't have a Z-mount prime in this focal length yet. It is manual focus which does not matter to me. Very well made and solid with a nice design. Sharp and light. The price was right so I thought I would take a chance, glad I did. 5

I wanted a macro lens, but had sticker shock on what was available for my xt-3. I picked up this lens, just so that I could get the close-ups I was looking for. This lens does not disappoint. Manual focus works great with fuji focus assist tools. 5
