The Tiffen 2 x 2" 3 Tobacco Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, brownish-yellow coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides more tobacco coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 2" / 50.8 x 50.8mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I bought the Zeiss Mills 35mm F/2 for use on my Nikon D850. However, I can't adjust my aperture or speed or ISO. What's wrong?

A: To use the ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/2 ZF.2 Lens for Nikon F on a D850, you will need to set the aperture to f/22 on the lens. Then, you may adjust the camera.

Q: 2. Is this lens compatible with Nikon 2x converter?

A: This teleconverter has not been tested by ZEISS on the Milvus 135 lens, so a recommendation cannot be made.

Q: 3. When used on A7Rii with adapter, does it provide focus confirmation? Thanks

A: I'm using my Zeiss manual focus lenses on an a7R iii and find the focus peaking assist on the camera indispensable to sharp, sharp...sharp images!

Q: 4. Does it go on a Nikon D810???

A: Yes, the Zeiss Milvus ZF.2 4-Lens Bundle for Nikon F are compatible for use with the Nikon D810 DSLR camera.

Q: 5. Any difference between this newly released one and previous one? Is the lens designed again

A: The ZEISS Milvus 2/135 ZE shares the same optical design as the 'classic' version of the lens, with additional improvements in the anti-reflective coatings, a weather sealed barrel and a focus ring that does not telescope, allowing for use with a follow focus gear when using the lens for motion capture.

Q: 6. Is this lens made in Germany?

A: The Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/2 ZE lens is made in Japan.

Q: 7. Is the focus throw on the 135mm in Nikon mount the same as on their Zeiss Classic predecessor?

A: The angular field of rotation of the focus barrel is 268 degrees for both lenses.

Q: 8. Can I use a Canon Extender EF 2x III on this Zeiss Milvus 135mm lens?

A: The ZEISS Milvus 2/135 is a high performing, apochromatic lens. The addition of a 3rd party optic in the light path will have an influence on the image quality that cannot be predicted. If you need to extend the focal length of the lens, our recommendation is to rent the extender and test the performance prior to committing.

Q: 9. Are the lenses Auto Focus? Do they work good on nikonD500 ?

A: Manual focus only, which is a huge mistake in my opinion. I understand that Nikon and canon both were not open with Zeiss on their auto focus systems. On the other hand, the glass is some the best I have ever seen on a camera lens. and if you have the time to manual focus the shots you take you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't see many folks getting these lenses because of just that issue alone. especially with all the latest mirrorless camera bodies that have hit the market recently. The auto focus system is the only reason I personally upgraded to a z8 and I think it is fantastic.

Q: 10. Is this lens fully compatible with Nikon FE? (will it allow using it in A mode)

A: Using this lens in full manual mode on the Nikon FE would not be a problem. However, it may not work in Auto mode.
