The ATI Audio DDA-106XLR is a 1x6 AES/EBU digital audio distribution amplifier. AES/EBU digital audio is distributed via 6 outputs from a single AES/EBU source. The DDA-106XLR uses 110 ohm XLR connectors on the single input and all 12 outputs. Sample rates from 27 to 96kHz are decoded and cleanly regenerated. Standard sample rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96kHz are indicated with front panel numeric readouts. The numeric display also provides signal status and error message information.

For some time I have been driving two spdif devices off one spdif output. One was about a 40 foot run of cheap audio coax type cable. I often had erratic audio performance at the end of the long line no doubt due to poor signal quality. I had considered building my own distribution amp but when I found this product at this price point it looked efficient to try it. The product is housed in a pretty nice small metal box. It's a little tippy on top of my stack of instruments but seems to work very well driving the short and long spdif runs. I also now have two more channels available to add spdif runs to other rooms also. Thanks you. 5
