The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel Analog Input Adapter allows you to use the analog gear you already own with your Dante audio network. It provides audio engineers with a cost-effective solution for adapting analog mixers, DI boxes, keyboard instruments, or analog compressors and equalizers, delivering the interoperability, performance, and scalability of Dante network connectivity.

Compact and built for the road, the AVIO is automatically discovered by the network and is ready to use when connected. It features one balanced line-level input equipped with an XLR connector and delivers high-quality audio at up to 24-bit/96 kHz with configurable gain and attenuation, low total harmonic distortion, and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response.

The AVIO supports Dante audio over IP and AES67 RTP transport formats, and is compatible with Dante Domain Manager (DDM).

Please note: requires the use of a network switch with PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) capabilities or the use of an 802.3af-compliant PoE injector device (both available separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the endpoint be named to reflect the area in which it is located s/a "Fitness Music"? Also, how is pairing initiated?

A: Yes, devices such as the Audinate Dante AVIO 2x1 Bluetooth I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network can be named within Audinate's Dante Controller Software. The Dante AVIO Bluetooth adapter is automatically discovered and ready to pair when connected to a Dante PoE source.

Q: 2. Would this be the correct adapter to add an intercom system to my Dante Network? I'm looking to integrate a Clear-Comm FSII Base

A: No, the Audinate Dante AVIO 2-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter for Dante Audio Network would not be the correct adapter to use with your Clear-Comm FSII Base; it would work for output only. Instead, I would recommend using one B&H # AUADPDAOAU1 for output from the Dante system to the program input on your intercom base, and one B&H # AUADPDAIAU1 for the stage announce output of your intercom base into the Dante network.

Q: 3. Can the input version and output version of these units be used together as a standalone 2 channel dante system?

A: Yes you can, however you would need a switch as well.

Q: 4. Does this work with clubhouse? i.e. 2x1 BT connected to POE switch onto Comp USB-C output to iPhone with Clubhouse on in addition to recording from said phone

A: I do not see this as a workable solution.

Q: 5. Will the AVIO 1 Input adapter except a 25 volt or 70 volt audio signal or does it need to be adapted to a line level first?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel Analog Input Adapter for Dante Audio Network is intended for a balanced, line-level input signal.

Q: 6. Can you recommend a PoE injector to use with this adapter?

A: An injector such as B&H # UBUPOEAT would be suitable to use with the Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter for Dante Audio Network.

Q: 7. The analog input to the AVIO 1, Does it need to be line level or can it receive audio from 25volt and 70 volt signal?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter provides a balanced, line level analog output signal from the XLR male connector. So this adapter sends analog audio from a Dante network into an analog XLR input.

Q: 8. Does this AVIO support phantom power to a condenser mic?

A: This device does not support phantom power.

Q: 9. What speakers can I connect to this and with what connector?

A: Powered monitors via a 3-pin female XLR connector.

Q: 10. How to find this MAC address

A: The address of Dante devices such as the Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter for Dante Audio Network can many times be found on the physical unit itself. Alternatively, the device and address could also be located in the Dane Controller. The article linked here provides further insight: https://bit.ly/3hr4rSI
