Telefunken M80 Custom Handheld Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone (black Body, Turquoise Grille)
- Product Code: ga58517
-
Presented in a black body with a turquoise grille, the Telefunken M80 Custom Handheld Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone delivers the sonic essence of a condenser in a rugged dynamic design. It features a wide 50 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response and high maximum SPL of 135 dB, making it equally suitable for voice, instruments, or drums onstage and in the studio. The M80 is designed to be an alternative to the midrange-laden character of most dynamic vocal microphones.
The M80's low-mass capsule and super-thin capsule membrane allow a wider dynamic range from a live vocal, providing an intimate feel that's typically reserved for studio condenser microphones. The head and capsule assembly is designed to reduce proximity effect and add low-end clarity while still providing present bass. The M80 also features an American-made, custom-wound, impedance-matching transformer. It ships with a mic clip and leather storage bag.Supercardioid Polar Pattern Enhanced Directionality Wide 50 Hz to 18 kHz Frequency Response High Maximum SPL of 135 dB High Immunity to Feedback Low-Mass Capsule Head & Capsule Reduce Proximity Effect American-Made Transformer Includes Mic Clip & Storage Bag

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. will this mesh with Sure SM58 Wireless?
A: This capsule will work with all the Shure wireless transmitter handheld microphones, just make sure the capsule on your microphone can be removed in order to add the Telefunken M80 capsule in it's place.
Q: 2. How long is the cable?
A: 16.5 inches
Q: 3. I need an external mic for my Canon Vixia HF R52 camcorder. The Canon tech support person said the mic had to have its own power supply. But this Shure VP64-AL says it needs no battery or Phantom power (whatever that is). So will this mic work with my camcorder?
A: This is a dynamic microphone, so it needs no external or battery power. What you will need is an adapter cable with attenuation to match the input on the camcorder:
Q: 4. is this a cordless microphone?
A: The Telefunken M80 is not a wireless mic. This is a dynamic handheld that needs to be connected via cable.
Q: 5. Is it battery powered or do you need phantom power?
A: The Telefunken M80 does not require battery power or phantom power.
Q: 6. Will this work with a Zoom H1 with a mini plug adapter? How is it powered?
A: This microphone has a dynamic element so it does not require a power source to operate, however you would need to ensure your adapter includes a low-to-high impedance-matching transformer. This will convert the mic's low impedance output to the high-impedance input required by the handheld recorder.
Q: 7. Will this mic work with the nikon d5300?
A: This mic connects via XLR hookup. As long as you have proper connection to camera (via mic cable) you should be fine.
Q: 8. Could this microphone work with a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 audio interface, and if so would it have issues with it being too quiet?
A: The V7 will work well with the UM2. There is gain control on the UM2, so no, it will not be too low.
Q: 9. The specs state that the "Circuitry" is "solid state" but if it is a dynamic microphone without transistors or ICs then there are no solid state devices, just wires. What exactly does the "circuitry" consist of?
A: There are no active electronics in this microphone. Just a magnet and a voice coil.
Q: 10. Can I use with an iphone12?k And can I plug in headphones for a monitor?
A: You would need an audio interface that is compatible with iOS devices to be able to use the Cascade Fat Head with an iPhone like BH #IKIPIRIGPROI for example.
