The red Telefunken M80-WH Wireless Dynamic Microphone Capsule is a screw-on capsule version of the wired handheld M80 microphone. This wireless capsule is intended for use with compatible Shure wireless transmitters (Axient, UHF-R, QLXD, ULXD, ULX, PG, PGX, SLX, and UR2), Lectrosonics HH and HHa transmitters, and Sony UTX-M03 transmitters. It is revered for its exceptional frequency response, sensitivity, and control over proximity effect. Its "condenser like" sound is a result of an American-made, custom-wound transformer, making it a favorite among demanding musicians on stage and in the studio. The supercardioid polar pattern effectively controls feedback and off-axis noise.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use the MKH 50 outdoor to record sound? Is it so bad?

A: If you plan to use the Sennheiser MKH 50 outdoors, which is entirely feasible, it would be highly recommended to combine it with a sturdy windshield such as BH #RYSSKS or BH #RYWSQAT.

Q: 2. Is it possible ship to Hong Kong

A: Due to export regulations and/or manufacturer's restrictions, we are unable to ship the Sennheiser MKH 50 Supercardioid Microphone Kit to Hong Kong.

Q: 3. Does this use a regular 3 pin XLR connector? (understand that it needs phantom power)

A: Yes, this Shure MX184 Supercardioid Wired Lavalier Microphone does have a standard size 3-pin XLR connector and is intended for use with a mixer, recorder, camera, or amplifier with a standard XLR mic input that can supply phantom power.

Q: 4. Could this microphone work with a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 audio interface, and if so would it have issues with it being too quiet?

A: The V7 will work well with the UM2. There is gain control on the UM2, so no, it will not be too low.

Q: 5. Is it possible to connect this via XLR? My interface uses the one C-port I have for outgoing sound + other inputs.

A: The Deity Microphones VO-7U Dynamic Supercardioid USB Streamer Microphone Kit with Desktop Tripod (Black) does not have an XLR connector.

Q: 6. How long is the cable?

A: The attached cable on the MX184 microphone is approximately 4-feet long.

Q: 7. What is the output? There are 3 potential sources, the front & Rear mics and the external. Are they all just mixed to mono?

A: Saramonic Vmic4 Dual-Capsule Camera-Mount Supercardioid Shotgun Microphone has front and rear microphones, as well as a 3.5mm TRS input for an external microphone like a lavalier or similar mic. There is a single 3.5mm audio output which sends a combined signal with all of the mics summed to dual mono. Additionally, a headphone jack allows you to monitor the audio while recording.

Q: 8. Is it battery powered or do you need phantom power?

A: The Telefunken M80 does not require battery power or phantom power.

Q: 9. Will this work with shure wireless systems?

A: Yes, but you will need to use an adapter to make the Neumann capsule compatible for use with the Shure wireless transmitter. The Ambient Recording HHAII-S Handheld Microphone Adapter (B&H # AMHHAIIS) will allow you to mount the Neumann KK 105-S capsule on a Shure UR2, PG2, PGX2, SLX2, or ULX2 wireless handheld transmitter.

Q: 10. Could anybody tell me the name of the stand that is holding the microphone in the picture?

A: That is a desk stand for the Sennheiser MD441U. There are 2 stands that fit the MD441U, the desk top one in the photo which comes with the mic (special order) and flexible rubber one that we have separately B&H # SEMZQ441.
