A: I am Nikonian, but since B&H asked me to, here my Input anyway: If your 16-35mm lens has 82mm diameter for filters, so it will work. Consult your lens manual. I cannot answer your second question as I do not know the zoom.

Q: 7. will this work on sony alpha cameras? i heard you need to modify the camera in order for this to work? I have a7s and a6500

A: I have not tried it on the camera.I have heard that you need to modify the filters on the sensor so that it only sees infrared light. The filter is very dark to the normal eye, but the film has no problem receiving the infrared. you would think that no light is getting through. Good like!

Q: 8. I recently purchased a Nikon D7100. What kind of results, if any, can I expect if I put one of these filters on it?

A: You may not get the expected results! Most cameras would not give you the effect unless you convert the camera, which will be permanent and expensive too! There are some old models which do not have built in ir cancellation mechanisms. Those are the ones which can generate ir effects.

Q: 9. hI, will this work on nikon p900? if so, will I have to modify the camera..thanks

I have a 665nm IR converted Sony A7r which is great for false color. I use this filter for better B&W IR images, which greatly expands the flexibility of my IR converted camera. Easy to use of course!

Great true digital infrared photos by easy do-it-yourself removal of the infrared filter in my Sigma SD15 camera. Putting the SD15 filter back in to restore it back to normal is, for me, less easy but doable.

This filter works as advertised and gives great results. When used with a Nikon D70 in camera metering works perfectly and different results can be achieved by just changing the aperture. Frame the shot, focus, and then place the filter on the lens. A tripod is a must.

I tried this on my Nikon D7100. First of all, it's so dark you can't see anything with it on the lens. Even live view doesn't show anything. So you focus and compose before putting it on(or just guess at focus and composition). I shot at ISO 6400 and several seconds of exposure were required on an overcast day at f/5.6. In color the images were almost all red. Converting it to B&W gave the effect of B&W IR film. But it seems like the effect was stronger back when I was shooting the IR film.

I've used this filter with SFX film and it works well. The price wasn't too bad given the good quality of the filter. It is a dark filter so you need to compose and focus before you put it on an SLR. Your TTL meter should work with the filter on the lens though.
