The Tiffen 3 x 3" CC20M Magenta Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.

Magenta is the opposite of green and can be used to reduce green tones or casts within a scene or print. This magenta CC20 is more dense than a CC10 filter and less dense than a CC30 filter, and requires a 0.3 stop compensation for normal exposure results.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 3 x 3" / 76.2 x 76.2mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Once purchased, is it possible to switch lens mounts? I'd like to be able to move between PL and Canon RF

A: Yes, but there are no RF lens mount options, only Sony E, Canon EF, Nikon F, and PL.

Q: 2. Will this cover the entire sensor of Sony A7S2? On full wide, will I have any vignetting or black borders on the edges? Will I get a clean edge to edge image?

A: The ZEISS Lightweight Zoom is designed to cover a Super 35 sensor only and not the full frame sensor in the A7SII.

Q: 3. I want to use this with the Canon 100-400 IS I. Do I need an extra less Plate? If so which one would you recommend?

A: Hi There,Yes, you will need an ARCA Swiss plate for this Gimble. Now, this is a good question what kind of plate you need and I can not specifically tell you since I have no such lens to try on my gimble. But I can give you some guidelines:You have a tripod leg for that lens and it has its size. I also assume that it is a fairly short leg with only one screw mount in it.Now, if you are looking for the aesthetic point of view you might be considering an ARCA plate with same length like your lens leg, but if you want to be able to play with the balance fo the camera + Lens in the gimble, I recommend you to buy a little longer plate. This will allow you to slide the plate on the gimple to find the balance position . A balance position is a position where the camera mounted on the gimble is staying balanced hands free . I know it doesn't sounds like a big deal but believe me it is more than just a nice to have .Another important point is that the plate will have the limiters both sides. Those limiters are small screws that are stopping the plate to slide off the gimble (look at the gimble image - where you put the plate - it has like two canals, one in each side). Now the next question is which plate brand should you buy. for this I have no sharp answer. I think that the brand is less important here unless it is really cheap and you fill like it is going to be unsafe to use.I have bought the below P50 plate but it was for a much bigger lens with much bigger leg.You can also see in that one that there is a screw hole at the end of the plate for the stopper/limmiter.And also make sure you are using the correct thread for your lens (1/4 or 3/8 ). if needed buy also an adapter.Hope it helps.Enjoy,Guy

Q: 4. Will this crop in if I use the red Komodo? What is the super 35 equivalent?

A: The RED Komodo's sensor will crop the ZEISS CP.3 25mm T2.1 Compact Prime Lens' image circle. The Super35 equivalent focal length of this lens on the RED Komodo is 38mm.

Q: 5. If I set the iris to a 4 will I eliminate exposure ramping?

A: You are correct. If you set the stop at 4, you will eliminate the ramping.

Q: 6. Will this provide lens data such as iris t-stop/f-stop to any camera with an electronic EF mount?

A: The ZEISS CP.3 lens you are referencing has a PL mount and the meta data can be read by any PL type camera using the Cooke i/technology interface. The meta data is also accessible via the side port and can be read by such devices like the Ambient Master Lockit Plus. This would be the option when the CP.3 is fixed with an EF mount.

Q: 7. How many degrees is the focus throw?

A: 300 degrees

Q: 8. It says that you need an Arca-Swiss plate to use with it. I will be using an Oben ac-1410 tripod. Can you refer me to what plate would be best to order?

A: Depending on the telephoto lens that you are using, different lengths of Arca-Swiss plates will be appropriate to attach. The following chart will show you which Wimberly (another maker of gimbal heads that use Arca-Swiss releases) plate will support your lens best. Just type in the model number of the specific plate into our search bar. (example: P10 plate)http://bhpho.to/1aJndNaorClick the link in the description of this product:B&H # WITHQRQ ? Mfr # WH-200

Q: 9. I have the 1st generation Tamron 150-600 and am having difficulty identifying what accessory foot, or plate (are they the same thing? this is new territory for me), is ideal to make it compatible with the Jobu Jr. 3 - the B&H guy was not reassuringly confident in his answers. Thanks for your help!

A: Hi V.C.: The foot is the base of the lens collar that typically comes attached to a lens of that size. I have a Sigma 150-600 and am not familiar with the Tamron, but expect that they are very similar lenses. The foot should have a standard threaded hole. You need to buy the mounting plate that attaches to the foot of the collar through the standard hole. Any arca-Swiss type mounting plate will do. I recommend a plate 2 inches longer than the foot (measured front to back of the lens). That will give you some room to slide the lens back and forth for better balance on the gimbel head. I purchased the Jobu 7 inch. A little pricey for what it is, but it works great.

Q: 10. Can this be used on a C70 with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x?

A: Yes, the ZEISS 21-100mm T2.9-3.9 Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 Lens (EF-Mount, Feet) can be used with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x, but only in S16 mode, to achieve a super 35 image circle.
