Nisha Double Exposure Attachment Filter (55mm)

Nisha Double Exposure Attachment Filter (55mm)
  • Product Code: ga59078
  • Availability: In Stock

$29.85 $39.70

This 55mm Double Exposure Attachment Filter from Nisha lets you capture two parallel subjects in one double exposure. It includes an aluminum alloy filter ring that can mount onto a lens with a 55mm front thread. Occupying half of the area within the filter ring is an opaque cover. The other half is completely unobstructed, allowing a camera lens placed behind this double exposure attachment to project an image where half of the frame is uncovered.

The Nisha 55mm Double Exposure Attachment Filter is effectively applied by lining up its unobstructed area and a subject to be photographed with either the left or right half—or either the bottom or top half—of the camera lens being used. The filter ring can rotate to orient the unobstructed area relative to the subject. After half a frame is exposed using a camera capable of multiple exposures within a single image, the remaining half of the frame can be exposed by rotating the filter ring to expose the previously covered half of the frame and photographing a different, or even the same, subject or scene.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you attach a lens hood alongside this filter?

A: Yes you can

Q: 2. rather than pay extra for the 15stop filter couldn't I combine the 10stop with the 6-stop polarizer in the cheaper Circular kit?

A: Combining multiple ND filters will result in vignetting at wide angle focal lengths whereas a single filter with 15 stop filter will ensure you don't get vignette.

Q: 3. Is this a UV filter?

A: The Canon 58mm Protector Filter is a clear protection filter. It does not block UV light.

Q: 4. Does this filter fit the canon ultra wide angle 17-40m USM?

A: The Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens accepts a 77mm filter. With that said, the B+W 77mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter B&H # BWUVXSP77 would be a better choice in terms of size and offers a thinner ring to prevent vignetting. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 5. Does anyone have photo examples of this lens?

A: This filter gives the appearance of 5 multiple exposures, similar to the image below: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/images500x500/Hoya_S77MV5F_77mm_Multivision_5F_Glass_94145.jpg

Q: 6. Do these screw on to the camera lense?

A: Yes it does, this is a 67mm filter.

Q: 7. Is it possible to use it with a canon 18-55mm ?

A: Yes but I believe the filter size of the 18-55mm is 58mm so you will need the 58mm version.

Q: 8. Will this screw onto the front of a normal lens?

A: Yes! You can use this on any lens with a 55mm front thread diameter, or on larger/smaller lenses using a step-up/step-down ring. When using a step-up/down ring, your results may vary (strength of the effect, vignetting, etc.).

Q: 9. This appears to need a magnetic base plate or something. There's no way this will stay on by itself. Was there supposed to be something in the box besides the filter itself?

A: The Freewell ND1000 Long Exposure Filter for DJI Mavic 3/Mavic 3 Cine will have a twist and lock method like previous DJI related drone filters. The current UV filter must be removed, to expose the filter groooves for a twist a lock method.

Q: 10. Any images of what this produces? And which one will work for my 35mm 1.8?

A: We do not have any sample images for this filter yet. As for the size you need it would depend on the filter/lens cap size of your lens.

Accurate, compact and easy to operate, made in Germany, light meter with f & t priority setting. Using Seconic L758D as a reference, it meters within less than 1/3 stop accuracy. It has a feel of a good quality product with a well written, clear and comprehensive instruction manual - if needed. It runs on inexpensive readily available one AA battery. Sixtomat F2 represents a good value for money. I would recommended to a friend.

The Gossen Sixtomat F2 is an ideal meter for all around use. I primarily use it in incident mode, and it’s always with me, either in camera bag or pocket. And its thin, flat shape makes it easy to drop into a shirt pocket, or back or even side pocket of jeans. I haven’t tried it’s flash measurement function, but if Gossen says it works, I’m prepared to believe it works. Yes, you can get fancier meters with touch screens and more functions, but if one photographer in 1,000 really needs any of that, it’s a lot.
