Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter fit a Nikon 85 1.4 lens?

A: The Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1.4G lens takes 77mm filters, and this Hoya 67mm NXT Plus UV filter will not fit. Based on the history of Nikon's 85mm lenses, the only one with a 67mm-filter thread is the Nikon 85mm f/1.8G, not the f/1.4G.

Q: 2. Zeiss or Hoya HD3 CP? They are about equal in price, but which is the better filter for Sony f/2.8 24-70?

A: Both filters have an anti-reflective coating, but the Hoya HD3 would have a 16 layer coating which prevents scratches, stain, and is water resistant, for easier cleaning. Also it has a thinner ring which is better for wider lenses like a Sony 24-70mm f/2.8.

Q: 3. Will these filters and hood fit the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens?

A: fit fine on mine (model 0345B002 )

Q: 4. Which way do I unscrew it to take it off? I have one on there now but I cracked it while birding today. I can't unscrew it and not sure if the impact of it hitting rocks caused it to jam the threading. I'm so bummed but glad my lens didn't take any damage. Thank you in advance for any reply.

A: Counter clockwise to unscrew. Try not to put pressure on the sides where it would put pressure on the threads. You may want to get a set of filter wrenches; https://bhpho.to/32suVwN

Q: 5. Is this a rotating filter for different darkness or is it just a straight one color?

A: A polarizing filter helps eliminate reflections, from shiny surfaces such as water, glass, etc. One can control unwanted reflections by rotating the filter to minimize or even eliminate reflections. This filter has no effect on colors.

Q: 6. Does anyone have photo examples of this lens?

A: This filter gives the appearance of 5 multiple exposures, similar to the image below: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/images500x500/Hoya_S77MV5F_77mm_Multivision_5F_Glass_94145.jpg

Q: 7. The description mentions Schott glass from Germany. Is this filter manufactured completely in Germany or where?

A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 67mm MRC-UV Filter is made in China.

Q: 8. Does this filter have front threads as well?

A: Yes Tiffen 82mm Digital HT (High Transmission) Circular Polarizing Multi-Coated Filter does have 82mm front accessory threads.

Q: 9. Will the hood and filters fit on an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mk II with a Zuiko 14-150mm F 4.0-5.6 II lens? Specifically, will the filters clear the convex curve of the lens?

A: Yes, the lens hood and 58mm filters in this kit will work on the M.Zuiko 14-150mm F 4.0-5.6 II lens while mounted on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.

Q: 10. Does it enable the use of a lens cap?

A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 82mm MRC-UV Filter does not have front filter threads, so a lens cap cannot be used.
