The compact SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is designed to work with lenses with a front element size of up to 65mm in diameter. This 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter sports a rear thread size of 82mm and features an internal focus design. The Anamorphot-65 has a minimum close focus of four feet and can accept 112mm threaded filters and diopters.

The Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is optimized to work with the Fujinon MK zoom range and is also compatible with 82mm-threaded SLR Magic MicroPrimes. Unlike a cropped "anamorphic" image obtained with a spherical lens, this adapter enables you to utilize the total area of your camera's sensor.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this fit sigma 24-105 F4 ART on S35 sensor?

A: This will not work on that lens.

Q: 2. does this adapter works with Sigma Art 35 mm 1.4 (67 mm ring) and Sigma Art 24mm 1.4 (77 mm ring) on S35 sensor?

A: It will not work with either lens because the filter thread size for the Sigma Art 35mm and 24mm are larger than the accepted 65mm.

Q: 3. What's the different between SLR Magic Anamorphot-40 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter (Compact) and SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter ?

A: The difference is in the size of the front element of the lenses it will be compatible with. The Anamorphot-65 works with lenses that have a front element size of up to 65mm in diameter, while the 40 works with smaller lenses with a front element size of up to 40mm in diameter.

Q: 4. Whats the widest mm you can shoot at when attached to the Fujinon mk 18-55? Also, would it help to use mft sensor or full frame?

A: The Fujinon 18-55mm is compatible with this adapter. However that lens only covers up to a Super 35mm Sensor, you will not be able to use this full frame. SLR Magic does not list the exact focal lengths you can use, but past models started around 35mm for Super 35mm and 20mm for MFT.

Q: 5. Are there any adapters to make this fit on a GoPro Hero3?

A: There is not. You cannot use this on a Hero3.

Q: 6. I'm using Red Komodo with Canon 35mm f1.4 Lii lens, which can do autofocus. Will this adapter work in term of AF? Provided that I'll use step up ring 72-82mm on the lens.

A: The Komodo will still autofocus with this anamorphic adapter on.

Q: 7. Will this fit in to Sony Fe 24-70 2.8GM?

A: Yes, the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM Lens has a 82mm filter thread.

Q: 8. If I used this adapter on the newer SLR Magic Microprimes with 82mm front threads, would I only need to focus on the adapter if the taken lens is set to infinity focus or do I need to get one of those Rangefinder attachments?

A: Sorry, no. You will need to focus twice. Unfortunately, there is no Rangefinder available for this at this time. Panavision got an Academy Award when they figured out how to do this back in the '50s. (Hint, they ran a shaft and gear from the lens focus ring to the anamorphic focus ring.) But here and now, you will need to focus twice with the SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter.

Q: 9. will it work on my slr magic microprime 35mm?

A: Yes, the SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is compatible with the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 35mm T1.3 lens as it has a filter thread of 82mm.

Q: 10. One question, SLR magic Anamorphic 65, which was reviewed by you. Does it produce oval bokeh shape?

A: Yes it is. In general the bokeh from anamorphic adapters will take an oval shape.
