Q: 1. I just received an Olympus OM 1000mm lens and want to know if this adapter would work with a Nikon D7100 or D300?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Olympus OM Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera, B&H # FOPNFAOO, would allow you to use older, manual-focus Olympus OM-mount 35mm film lenses on the Nikon F-mount used on the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera and the Nikon D300 DSLR camera.

Q: 2. I purchased this item...infinity focus is not achieved when the lens is set to infinity. Lens has to be set to 6' to achieve infinity focus. Will another adapter work better?

A: Chris, I'm assuming you're using the old manual focus OM lenses. I have several of them and they all reach infinity focus with two NEX cameras using this adapter. So I really don't know why you are having a problem.

Q: 3. Does it work with other e-mount cameras, such as sony alpha a6000?

A: Yes, it works with all e-mount.

Q: 4. how much does the focusing helicoid extend? what extension tube size would it be equivalent to fully extended?

A: According to the manufacturer, when fully extended, the FotodioX Olympus OM Lens to Sony E-Mount DLX Stretch Adapter is 35.87mm in length, whereas in its fully closed position, it measures 28.02 mm in length. As such, they state it would be taking the 7mm and 28mm rings from the macro extension tube and getting a 35mm extension tube.

Q: 5. Hello.I have Olympus Zuiko 50 1.8 and the 65-200mm 4. Will these lens work on the Sony a6500 with this adapter? Or will they work better on my Nikon D7100. I thank you for whatever info you can give me.

A: Good day. I am very happy with my OM-NEX Adapter. It allows me the ability to use older and solidly built lens at a fraction of the cost. By using vintage lens that are manual focus, forced me to slow down in my photography and this had enhanced my awareness in composition. I have seven vintage lens that I use sparingly. I hope that everyone would use these lens as a training or teaching tool in their photography.

Q: 6. Will the aperture ring on the lens work correctly with this adapter?

A: Yes, the aperture ring on the lens will work fine, of course there are no electronics in the adapter so it will be entirely manual or have aperture priority function.

Q: 7. Will this work for a Tamron 80-210mm lens on an Olympus PEN E-PL5 camera?

A: It won't work because this is for a four thirds camera and the PL5 has a different mount. The PL5 is micro four thirds mount.

Q: 8. HI, I have an old Olympus lens f35-210, does this adapter alowed me to use it on my Nikon D5200?THX

A: Flippo, I obtained the adapter to use a series Nikon FX digital cameras with an Olympus OM bayonet mount. The adapter works perfectly and the image on the sensor was parfocal with the image in the Olympus Microscope. I have every reason to believe that the situation would be the same with older OM lenses being fitted to the Nikon camera body. (Think of the microscope as a special close-up lens) The adapter has a lens which seems to compensate for the close up effect of adding what is similar to a close-up ring between the camera and lens. No adapter is perfect and there may be a little variation for infinity and minimum focus points but good results can be obtained at any rate. The adapter is extremely well made and of very high quality. Like all such adapters you will need to use the camera on manual settings for focus and F-stop etc. since the lens is older, of a different make and will not have the auto electronic contacts. If needs be, the built in lens can be simply screwed out. I hope this helps. It is worth a try to get even limited use of a good lens.

Q: 9. Hi, i want to use this adapter for a Sony A7S ii, with a Swift Stellar 1 pro microscope. The microscope comes with a C-mount for c-mount cameras?

A: Yes it would allow you to attach the A7SII to the Swift Stellar 1 pro microscope.

Q: 10. I have the lenses with the small nub on the back...is there anyway to remove this, or is this no way compatible with this adapter?

A: This adapter will fit any lens that has an OM mount.

Been using this Kipon Pen F to Nikon Z adapter on my Nikon Zfc for over two years now, and it's still spot on. It makes using the Olympus Pen F, manual focus lenses, on the Zfc, a great combination. Reminds me of shooting simple SLR cameras back in the 1970's. Here's on shot from today, mounting the Olympus Zuiko Pen F 100mm f3.5 on the Zfc, covering a bike race.
