Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this adapt a Mamiya 75mm Lens from the Polaroid 600SE?

A: Although the Polaroid 600SE used Mamiya lenses, the 75mm lens from that camera cannot work with this adapter.

Q: 2. Does this work with the Auto Mamiya-Sekor CS 50mm f/1.4 Lens?

A: This adapter is not compatible with the Auto Mamiya-Sekor CS 50mm f/1.4.

Q: 3. will this adapter fit a mamiya sekor cs 50mm f1.7?

A: This adapter only accepts Mamiya Sekor lenses for the 645 system.

Q: 4. Would this Adopter fit on Mamiya 645 afd to Canon 7d?

A: Canon 7D has the same mount with 5D. It fits Mamiya 645 Sekkor C lenses on 5D so it would do it on 7D as well.

Q: 5. Will this adapter works with the Sony PXW FS7?

A: It works perfectly of my FS5 so I would say it will work perfectly on a FS7. :-) Naturally only with manual focus and manual iris.

Q: 6. Will this adapter make a 50mm Mamiya 645 lens act like a 50mm lens on my full-frame Canon DSLR, i.e. is it a focal reducer?

A: The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Mamiya 645 Lens to Canon EF-Mount Camera is not a focal lens reducer and has no built-in optics. If you are using a lens designed for the Mamiya 645 film camera, as there are no conversion optics inside the above lens mount adapter, a 50mm 645 medium format lens would be the rough equivalent of a 31mm lens used on the full-frame 35mm sensor.

Q: 7. I assume this adapter does NOT have an aperture actuation lever to stop down the lens upon exposure; correct? Is it a preset-type adapter?

A: This Fotodiox Pro Mount Adapter does not have an aperture actuation lever.

Q: 8. will this work with canon 5d mark 3? And will this work with Mamiya 645 AF lenses?

A: I use it to attach my Mamiya 645 lenses to my Canon 6D, the baby-brother of the 5DM3, and it works fine. It's not as perfect as having it hooked up to your Mamiya, but it never will be. But you will unlock the greatness of a medium-frame format lens onto a full-frame 35mm equal and the results are like nothing you can get from a Canon lens. I'm not saying superior, but in many ways, they're up there with the traditional L lenses, and if you bought the Mamiya lenses used, you probably didn't spend the L prices. Good luck.

Q: 9. Will this adapter work with manual 645 lenses !?

A: The correct adapter for your 645 manual lenses is: FotodioX Adapter for Mamiya 645 Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera BH #FOPNEXAM645 • MFR #M645-SNYE-PRO https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994963-REG/fotodiox_m645_nex_p_adapter_for_mamiya_645.html You can attach this adapter as well but you will be paying almost twice as much for it because the integrated control ring allows aperture adjustment on AF lenses. Mamiya MF lenses already has a built in aperture ring.

Q: 10. Does this work with the A7II?

A: I use this with an A7R and several Mamiya lenses, they work great. Just remember auto focus and auto aperture do not work, you must use manual mode. You can use aperture priority mode if you want the camera to set both ISO and Shutter speed. Use Peaking Level to assist with focus, may need to keep the aperture open to get light to focus. Also set Zebra on to help with exposure. Fit of the adapter to both lens and body has been snug with no movement or wiggle. I plan to add several more used Mamiya lenses
