Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this adapter work with Nikon E lenses as well as G?

A: The following unit will work with G-Type F Lens to Sony E Camera only. G-type of lens offer no aperture dial ring all done internally.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Sigma 18-35 f1.8.? The lens has the Nikon mount. Im not sure which adapter I need to mount it on my a6000.

A: Sorry, I cannot answer that question. I can only say the adapter fits my Nikon lens snugly and rotates smoothly.

Q: 3. will this adapter support heavy lenses like Nikkor 70-300 VR ?

A: Yes, this adapter is fine even for Nikon 80-200 F2.8

Q: 4. Is the Sony mount (male) made out of metal or plastic? The black color of the posted images does not make it clear as to what material is being used.

A: This adapter is metal on both sides.

Q: 5. Will this adapter work for a Rokinon ae 85mm for Nikon

A: ?? Can't answer - Sorry -

Q: 6. How many stops will the aperture ring take the lens down to? I have the Fotodiox G lens F-mount lens to Canon EOS-mount adapter rings, (The ones you attach to the lens) the one with the blue slide tab. It only goes to maybe 5.6. Will this adapter take it even further? It's pictured with an aperture that goes from wide open to nearly completely closed. Will it take my lens down to 22? Or to at least 8 on my 50mm 1.8?

A: If you have a Canon camera, this Nikon adapter is not the one for your camera. I am very disappointed with this Nikon G Lens Adapter for my Sony a7s as it does not allow my Nikon lens to automatic focus. Focusing has to be done manually. My son has Canon lens and shoots with the adapter for Canon lens. That adapter lens allows automatic ficus.

Q: 7. will this adapter work with a nikon DX 35mm 1.8 and a 50mm DX 1.8? i know that i'd have to focus manually and also manually change aperture but i just want to make sure it works?

A: I find the adapter Fine - However the Current Nikon lenses Work, but only at the wide open apertures - The very old lenses work fine all of the way - Prior to the AIS system - Paul

Q: 8. Hello - I have a Sony a6000 eMount and have 20 Nikkor AI lenses that are F mount - will the Shift version this mount my Nikkor F mount lenses - no electric contacts are needed?

A: This FotodioX Pro Shift Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon G-Type F-Mount Lens to Fujifilm X-Mount Camera is not compatible with the Sony a6000--it's only compatible with Fujifilm X-mount cameras.

Q: 9. I am using a lens with an Aperture ring going from f2.8 to f22; the adaptor also has an aperture ring, my nex-7 displays F--, how should I setup the rings to control aperture?

A: Hi Mohamed M, this adapter is 100% manual operated. Which means you have NO aperture control in-camera. Therefore if you set the aperture ring to wide open on the adapter, it literally means your lens is on F2.8 and vice versa. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. i heard that fotodiox adapters are made for A7 and dont work ok With the mount of A7ii and A7rii. they change the thickness.

A: I have this adapter and the a7ii and it works a treat. Don't know anything about any changes.
