Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will it fit the leica 007?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the 007.

Q: 2. What is the function of the movable silver ring on the adapter?

A: This FotodioX Pentax K Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Camera Pro Lens Adapter is designed for lenses that do not have a manual aperture control ring, such as the newer Pentax K AF lenses. This adapter has an aperture control dial built into it which will allow you to open and close the lens manually. The silver ring is for controlling the aperture.

Q: 3. I have a pentax k1000 SLR and my dad gave me his old Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 S.C. lens. I would love to use this. Will this fit my Pentax?

A: Yeah. As long as it is an fd to a pentax k bayonet it should work. I have a similar canon fd manual lens 50mm 1:1.4 and it works fine. it is a bit confusing at first but mount the adaptor to the lens and make sure the canon lens is NOT locked in its auto setting on it's aperture ring. If you don't, the adaptor won't go on. Since its a manual lens you also have to do stopped down photography. It takes some adjusting but you get used to it.

Q: 4. Do any of the auto functions work like aperture stop down, or is that even needed with the GFX100S body?

A: Using this adapter would require the lens to operate manually.

Q: 5. Does this change the focal length of the lens?

A: While the adapter itself has no optics that would directly affect the angle-of-view of the lens (meaning no magnification or cropping from the adapter), the difference in formats between 6x7 and Fuji G formats would introduce a crop factor, essentially narrowing the field of view of whatever lens you adapt onto the GFX-series of cameras.

Q: 6. I have a cheap version of this adaptor - 30 bucks off ebay - while it all works and fits well - my Pentax 67 lenses are very prone to flare - FYI this adaptor is attached to a metabones - then to a Sony A7S2 / R2 . I doubt weather my metabones is causing the issue here. I suspect its the interior of the cheap adaptor - does anyone here that owns one of these Fotodiox know if the interior is a super matt finish similar to the metabones ? Or is it a shiny painted black ???

A: It's very, very matte, and very grainy like a course powder was coated on the inside.

Q: 7. I have an older Pentax 400/4 lens with a male flange and I need an adapter that will slip into that flange which is rotatable to lock that lens adapter onto the that lens. The other needs to fit Canon EOS. Are this available? I can't find any reference to this adapter on the Fotoidox pages. I do have same adapter to Nikon but need same to fit Canon. Thanks,James

A: I'm sorry but I have no knowledge relating to this particular question.

Q: 8. Is the 645 format a standard like MFT? Meaning, is the Pentax 645 the same mount as a Mamiya 645? Will this adapter work with Mamiya or Schneider-Kreuznach lenses that use the Mamiya 645 mount on Fujifilm GFX cameras? TIA.

A: The Pentax 645 and Mamiya 645 offer the same film format, but with different mounts for their respective lenses. This adapter accepts Pentax 645 lenses that originally worked on the Pentax 645/645AF medium format film bodies or 645Z medium format digital body.

Q: 9. Will this allow 67 lenses to be mounted on the 907X? How about an old 500c body?

A: While this Kipon Basic Adapter will allow Pentax 67 to be used with the Hasseblad 907X camera body, it will not allow connection to a Hasselblad 500C body.

Q: 10. What is the magnification ratio when using macro with this adapter?

A: The magnification ratio for the FotodioX Pentax K Lens to FUJIFILM X-Mount DLX Stretch Adapter will vary depending on the lens being used.
