The white M55WO Omnidirectional Hanging Ceiling Microphone with Height Adjustment from Audix is designed for applications where sound quality and ease of installation are critical, such as in boardrooms, lecture halls, churches, and learning centers.

The M55 accommodates optional interchangeable capsules with cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, and supercardioid (shotgun) coverage patterns (sold separately). All electronics are fully integrated with high sensitivity and low noise and are equipped with a balanced signal output for inhibiting RF interference from cell phones and GSM devices.

Installation requires drilling one 5/8" hole in the ceiling with no additional tools needed. The adjustable mounting hardware allows the mic to hang up to 4' from the ceiling surface without removing the ceiling tiles. An optional aiming clip (sold separately) provides additional angular adjustments. The cable assembly features a solderless Phoenix connector and is housed in an airtight, plenum-rated junction box. A seismic restraint safety cable is also provided.

A: The only issues you would experience is that this mount is designed to be fixed at a horizontal setting. Also the built in stand can get in the way depending on the size of the monitor as well.

Q: 5. Can you mount a monitor in portrait position with this stand?

A: The stand is not designed to accept a TV in portrait but it can work as long as the bolt pattern does not exceed 600x400 when you rotate the TV 90 degrees. If the TV is not perfectly flat you might run into run into some issues with ledges or protrusions interfering with the installation.
