With a quick setup, umbrella-type design, moderate power, and soft output, the Alzo 200 CFL Umbrella Softbox Light Kit is a versatile light source in the studio or on location. The kit contains a model 200 LED fixture which takes full advantage of the output from the two included 5500K daylight-balanced LED bulbs by holding them horizontally to expose more surface area rather than pointing them out vertically towards the front of the fixture. Although the bulbs together draw only minimal power, they produce the equivalent of a 600W tungsten flood. The light output has a CRI rating of 91, an indicator of accuracy in the rendering of color. The kit also includes a 27 x 27" softbox with a clever umbrella-like design and a removable front diffuser.

A: No this seems to be the best case Westcott LampGuard Case for 6 CFL Lamps BH #WELG6C You can always get a Pelican case which is available in various sizes with foam

Q: 4. I have a promaster 6" reflector that came with light tent. Is this the correct bulb for that?

A: Currently we do not stock any Promatser products. So we can not try it out. However it really appears the bulbs will work just fine in your fixture.

Q: 5. Will this work with continuous lighting/hot lights?

A: Not really.... it will work with an LED bulb or florescent bulb that does not get too hot.

Q: 6. can anyone tell the lenght when it is closed?. Thanks!

A: The 36 Umbrella Softbox measures 25 in length when collapsed.

Q: 7. Can I put those CFLs on dimmers?

A: Unfortunately, these bulbs are non-dimmable.

Q: 8. For some reason I can't put an umbrella on this light as it does not hold it's position. Is there a screw to lock it into place so the umbrellas doesn't weigh it down?

A: There is a screw knob to hold the umbrella shaft in place on this light. That is located just to right of the stand adapter. However, the umbrella shaft would need to be inserted at a slight angle all the way through the umbrella slot.

Q: 9. Can I use this lamp for Westcott TD6?

A: Yes, the ALZO CFL Photo Light Bulb (27W, 120V) can work in the Westcott TD6.

This is the second simple economical flood-type light that I have purchased and I am much happier with this one than the first one which was a Smith Victor. The Smith Victor was twenty dollars more for some reason, came disassembled, was flimsy and broke after it tipped over one time. This Impact version was cheaper, with a sturdier construction, a longer cord, an on/off switch on the cord instead of the back of the lamp, and I believe can handle a higher wattage. I also like the wooden handle in the back of it. It looks good and is easier and safer to handle the light with. This is the light I wanted originally a few months ago but it was out of stock, so I settled for a more expensive but amazingly inferior product. I'm so glad that I went with this one this time around. 5
