A: it is not designed for V mount batteries

A: Unfortunately not, neither allow for mounting of the other.

A: No, those holes are not able to take rods. This is meant to be an adapter from shoulder/VCT plate to a 15mm baseplate. Please see the other images on this items B&H page.

A: We recommend using the Wooden Camera Shoulder Rig v3. You will seamlessly be able to transition from the two dovetails.

A: In the accessory section, there are additional parts that enhance the Wedges use and 3 or 5 inch handles can be found on the website for replacement. If an essential piece is missing the best thing is to contact the manufacturer.
