Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with rode nt-usb mini?

A: Yes. This arm witll hold the NT-USB Mini.

Q: 2. I have a wireless lavalier mic system. The microphone is model sony emc77BMP and the receiver is sony wrt 805.It is not working well, since it catches a lot of interference when recording on longer distances that 30cm, and especially in the city, and as such the wireless part of the system is practically useless for me, but the lavalier mic is very good, and I want to connect it directly to my field-recorder a Tascam DR-40. The input in the recorder is XLR, while the lavalier has a jack (male). I need an adaptor from jack to XLR, and I am wondering about 2 things:1) The adaptor should be a jack (female) to a XLR (male), but is anything else needed, like a converter of electric tension between the lavalier and the field-recorder, or does the lavalier connect directly to the field-recorder?2) The field-recorder offers different settings for recording. One option is to record directly, and one option is to record using phantom-power. Which option should I use when connecting the lavalier directly to the field-recorder via an adaptor (omitting the wireless receiver and emitter system)?

A: The lav can plug directly into the DR 40. All you will need is a 3.5mm to XLR adapter and phantom power from the recorder. Then you can plug the lav directly into the XLR mic input on bottom of the DR 40. B&H # QUQAD2 see below.

Q: 3. Can this mic be used with Sennheiser's EW series wireless transmitters?

A: This lavalier mic is designed specifically for SONY transmitters and is not compatible with Sennheiser EW or other transmitter body-packs. Consider the Tram TR50 , a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

Q: 4. I would like to know about this connector, does that microphone come with 4-pin connector or just cable and microphone?

A: Hi Fabio, This version features a 4-pin Hirose connection. Regards, Erin

Q: 5. Can I use this mic with just an iPhone or iPad ?

A: The Sony ECM-77B Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic could be used with an iOS device such as iPhone or iPad if an interface such as the IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre (BH #IKIRIGPREHD) was implemented in between: https://bhpho.to/3szb3Ve

Q: 6. Could I swap out (substitute) this mike foe the lavalier that comes with the Sony UWP-D11 or D16 kit?

A: Please email us at a href= http://sales@bhphoto.com target= _blank sales@bhphoto.com/a for this type of request. Thank you.

Q: 7. Will this mic work with the older Sony UTX-B2 transmitter?

A: The Sony ECM-77BMP features the 1/8 locking connector that would be compatible with the input jack on the UTX-B2 transmitter.

Q: 8. Could this microphone also be used with the Tascam DR-70D?

A: Phantom power via the XLR jack ranges from 12v to 48v. The power required and delivered through mini jack connections is called Plug In Power' and is generally 1 volt to 10 volts. The Tascam is able to provide Plug In power through its mini jack mic input, however the ECM77BMP is designed for use with Sony wireless transmitters only. Not designed to connect to recorders. it has a locking connector that may not make full contact in a standard jack, and also may not be wired correctly.

Q: 9. Would this work on the Tentacle Track E?

A: The Sony ECM-77 lavalier mic is made for compatibility with Sony UWP transmitters. You would want to use something more like Voice Technologies VT500ECO [BH #VOVT0651] or the Sennheiser ME-2-II [BH #SEME2II] for compatibility with the TentacleSync Track E.

Q: 10. Is it safe to use a NiMH battery (Eneloop) in a Sony ECM-77B lavalier mic?

A: The battery powered Sony mics such as the ECM-77B can accept a rechargeable AA battery with no issue.

I purchased this lens for travel on landscape shooting majority. Compare Leica APO, it's petty lighter. High quality build and I do like the design of lens hood which can be reverse mounted for easy storage. The size is a little bit longer than that of Leica APO F2 50MM and almost same as Leica Super-Elmar F3.4 21MM lens, pretty compact and suitable for travel. That's the reason I choice this one. Very sharp especially @F5.6 and up, color is very accurate, similar as Leica lens. This is my first lens from Voigtlandeer and love it. High recommend this lens.

excellent build and image quality. Focusing is smooth and fast. It is a tiny bit heavier and longer than 90mm Leica lens but it is 5 times cheaper.

I found it is excellent for portrait and discreet street shooting

Pretty good good lens for an M10. No, it is not Elmarit quality but it is 90-95% there and that is pretty good in my book.

Well constructed and designed, easy to use, with solid focus throw and control.

Picked this up because I wanted something with a little more focal length range, to use somewhat as a tele lens when I travel. Because I was thinking about walking around in my camera bag with it, I wanted a small and lightweight lens, which the Voiglander covers both. I didn't buy Leica for insane sharpness, but the Voigtlander is sharp as well. Super happy with this

I purchased it on the commendation of several Leica equipment users/YouTubers. What they all say is true: NEARLY indistinguishable from its Leica lens cousin at a fraction of the price. For my needs and purpose (and budget) there was no other consideration
