The 5.2 lb support comes equipped with a fluid video head capable of handling different video applications, and able to support DSLRs, camcorders, and video cameras up to 22 lb. Between the tilt and smooth pan, and the combination of the pivoting foot, the monopod can create fluid movements without shake while recording video. A: The foot is designed to clamp onto the 694CX monopod which has a 5/8 diameter bottom section. The steel screw is imbeded in the clamp part. The rubber foot is threaded and screws up and down on the steel spike to expose or hide it. Contact Manfrotto if you need to know the size/thread of the spike. I suspect it is metric.
