Ice Solid Nd Filter Kit (95mm)

Ice Solid Nd Filter Kit (95mm)

  • Availability: In Stock

$239.85 $297.41

This 95mm Ice Solid ND Filter Kit contains three filters that can be used individually or in various combinations to darken the entire image, allowing photographs to be made with a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture than normally required. Using a slower shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This kit consists of three 95mm solid neutral density filters that reduce the amount of light entering a lens by three, six, and ten stops, respectively. Each filter is constructed from multicoated optical glass for clarity and color fidelity. They are each mounted within a slim, aluminum-alloy filter ring which helps prevent vignetting while remaining durable and lightweight.

A nylon filter pouch is included to store and transport this filter kit. It features three padded, nonabrasive pockets plus a touch-tab fastened closure.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference between these "CO" filters and the regular ICE filters? Do the regular filters not have multi-coating as well?

A: The CO filters are mainly easier to clean due to their 8 Layer coating, which the standard Ice ND filters are lacking.

Q: 2. Hello. Can it be used on Canon 28-70/2 together with a lens hood?

A: Unfortunately, the Freewell 95mm Magnetic Variable ND Filter System has not been tested with the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM Lens paired with the Canon EW-103 Lens Hood, and it is not on display for testing on the lens. The setup will fit on the lens without the lens hood, but we have no confirmation at this time that it is compatible with the lens when using the lens hood.

Q: 3. what's the difference between the Skyeye and Wolverine series from Kase?

A: The difference between the Skyeye filters and the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters are the Skyeye filters have a filter thread on the outside frame, making them compatible with standard screw in filters. The Skyeye also gives you some of the same benefits as the Wolverine filters when it comes to color balance and clarity. The difference lies in the additional coating on the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters and no filter thread on the outside frame, making them slimmer and lighter. The Wolverine filters have an additional nano coating which makes the filters scratch resistant, waterproof, anti reflective, easy to clean and toughened glass.

A: The Ice CO Nano Multi-Coated 1.8 ND64 Filter (77mm, 6-Stop) will provide a 6-stop exposure reduction. You can use your lens aperture wide open under the bright daylight setting, while controlling highlights and shadows with monolights.

Q: 6. Is this filter, ND100,000 safe to photograph the sun? For a prolong period like a solar eclipse , 4-6 hours?

A: 4-6 hours is a lot. Usually an eclipse you take a photo that is fractions of a second. This ICE Magco Solar filter does not list reducing UV and infrared. If you plan on doing long exposures of the sun I recommend a filter that reduces UV and infrared like this one DayStar Filters 90mm White-Light Universal Lens Solar Filter https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1319794-REG

Q: 7. Will this work with the normal magnetic filter rings you get in wolverine kits if the mm size is the same?

A: Yes, the magnetic adapter ring is included in the box with the Kase 112mm ND64 (6-Stops) Wolverine Magnetic Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens. You can thread the adapter ring on the Nikon HB-97 Lens Hood for Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens.

A: It will depend on the particular hood that is used with magnetic adapter that is included with the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND32,000 Solid Neutral Density 4.5 Filter with 82mm Lens Adapter Ring (15-Stop).
