The IsoStation M5 provides high-isolation solutions in fixed beamwidth increments through interchangeable horn antennas that have been optimized for an urban environment. The tailored antenna radiation patterns spatially filter both in-band and out-of-band spurious RF emissions to increase the noise immunity of the IsoStation M5. This feature is especially important in an increasingly congested RF environment.

The interchangeable antenna improves beam‑shaping for specific deployment needs. By default, the IsoStation M5 includes the symmetrical horn antenna with 45° beamwidth.

Horn antennas increase co-location performance without sacrificing gain. Symmetrical horn antennas (30° and 45° versions) offer improved scalability options for wireless systems. Unique beam performance and great co-location characteristics allow for a higher density of sectors than traditional sector technology.

Asymmetrical horn antennas (60° and 90° versions) are designed to have attenuated side lobes and extremely low back radiation. They offer enhanced front-to-back ratio with low side-lobe radiation. Asymmetrical horn antennas are ideal for cluster sector installations with high co-location requirements.

A robust dish antenna, model U‑OMT‑Dish, offers excellent beam directivity with 27 dBi of gain. It can be paired with the IsoStation M5 to extend radio performance for a greater number of WISP customers. Providing high throughput and an innovative form factor, the IsoStation M5 is versatile and cost-effective to deploy.

airOS is an intuitive, versatile, highly developed Ubiquiti firmware technology that requires no training to operate. Behind the user interface is a powerful firmware architecture, which enables high -performance, outdoor

multi‑point networking.

• Protocol Support

• Ubiquiti Channelization

• Spectral Width Adjustment

• ACK Auto-Timing

• AAP Technology

• Multi-Language Support

Integrated on all Ubiquiti M products, airView provides advanced spectrum analyzer functionality: waterfall, waveform, and real-time spectral views allow operators to identify noise signatures and plan their networks to minimize noise interference.

• Waterfall: Aggregate energy over time for each frequency

• Waveform: Aggregate energy collected

• Real-Time: Energy is shown in real time as a function of frequency

• Recording: Automate airView to record and report results

The IsoStation M5 can be accessed by the UNMS (Ubiquiti Network Management System) app once it has been set up on the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device.

(Original setup is done through your browser.)

The UNMS app provides instant access to the airOS configuration interface and can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). UNMS allows you to configure and manage the IsoStation M5 and offers various configuration options once you're connected or logged in.

Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti's Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. This time slot method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. It provides significant performance improvements in latency, throughput, and

scalability compared to other outdoor systems in its class.

• Intelligent QoS with voice/video priority for seamless streaming

• High capacity and scalability

• Long-distance, carrier-class links

Using airMAX technology, the IsoStationM5 supports up to 100+ Mb/s real TCP/IP throughput. It also offers the following features:

• Interchangeable horn antennas for enhanced beam shaping

• Horn feed comes directly from the radio input/output so connectors are eliminated

• Single button release for ease of changing antennas

• All metal shielded radio base

• Metal strap for quick and simple mounting

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. i am using this system for transmitting remote cameras in one of my fields. I have a solar panel that supplies power to the camera and the antenna. The system works flawlessly. I have direct line of site and they are 3/4 mile from the internet at the house. My question is can I get an antenna to work where I can get information from a valley up to a hill top thru a heavily forested area without having to build a 200 foot tower to get line of site? Is there something that will get thru the trees and or rolling hills of the area? Buffalo County, WI is the area.

A: We would not recommend a 5Ghz device to accomplish that if there is a lot of foliage, you would be better off using a 2.4Ghz or 900Mhz model.

Q: 2. Excuse my ignarance, is this NanoBeam allow me to connect to the internet?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks NBE-5AC-GEN2 NanoBeam ac Gen2 airMAX BH #UBNBE5ACG2US is designed to be used as a bridge so you would need two units to send a signal from point A to point B, wirelessly. If the unit is connected to a paid internet subscription through one of your local providers, yes, it would give you internet access but this would not give you internet access by itself.

Q: 3. How would you mount this to the roofline of a detached garage? Facia or soffit mount? How? What bracket?

A: In order to mount the Ubiquiti Networks NanoStation AC loco 5 GHz airMAX ac Radio BH #UBLOCO5AC, to the roofline of a detached garage, you can use a mount like the Ubiquiti Networks Quick-Mount for Ubiquiti CPE Devices, B&H # UBQUICKMOUNT.

Q: 4. Do the nanobeams have to be paired with the same exact model or can you pair a gen2 with a gen1?

A: I have gen2 and gen1 mixed. Both linked to a Rocket AC. Just choose a frequency that is in range for all of your devices.

Q: 5. The signal meter on the side of Nanobeam...does that assist for maximum signal pairing?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Is this US version or International version?

A: All of the Ubiquiti products (including Unifi and Amplifi lines) sold at B&H are U.S. versions.

Q: 7. None of the photos show a connection to AC power. Is there a standard three-prong recepticle plug on each end? (transmitter/receiver).

A: This type of antenna is best powered via PoE.

Q: 8. I'm trying to pick up a Wi-Fi signal between 3 and 4 miles away. The city I live and send off a signal for customers in town and I am obviously out of town wondering if this would work

A: You would not be able to use the RocketDish to pickup a standard WiFi signal. You would need one to send, and another to receive.

Q: 9. Do you have the international version?

A: Only the US version of the Ubiquiti Networks LiteBeam AC Gen2 airMAX ac CPE with Dedicated Management Radio.

Q: 10. Does this package come with the transmitter and receiver? or do we need to buy two?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks LiteBeam AC Gen2 airMAX ac CPE with Dedicated Management Radio BH #UBLBE5ACG2US is one antenna.
