A: According to information from Ubiquiti on what's provided in the box, it does not.

Q: 2. Can I purchase a European style electric cable?

A: You can purchase a europe power adapter plug to use this in a europlug. This will work. https://bhpho.to/3RsG6OG

Q: 3. Does this have WifiMan VPN support?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Express, B&H # UBUXUS, has limited support for the Teleport VPN feature along with WiFiMan, the VPN performance has been reported to be slow. It would be best to get the Ubiquiti Networks Cloud Gateway Ultra, B&H # UBUCGULTRA, for better VPN performance when using the Teleport VPN feature with WiFiman.

Q: 4. Can I use other brands' IP cameras with this product?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus BH #UBUCKG2PLUS is deigned for use solely with Ubiquiti devices.

Q: 5. I've heard that this device doesn't really handle 10 cameras very well, let alone 20... I will have 9 G3 Pros and a G4 Pro hooked into this, will it give me any problems or should I go with a bigger product?

A: The cloud key is a user interface for a Ubiquiti system. It is neither a router or a switch.

Q: 6. Does this provide power over Ethernet?

A: No, the Ubiquiti Networks Cloud Gateway Ultra does not output PoE power.

Q: 7. 2 questions. first, trying to set up on ios and android and it wont connect. 2nd how does one set this up as a nvr?

A: The set up should be fairly easy, you need to connect it to your switch, if the light is white then its ready to be configured. Download the app and configure or using a chrome browser enter the IP address thats on the device. You can set it up as a NVR using the app.

Q: 8. Can you share which adapter or POE injector you purchased to make this work?

A: You could use either a USB Type C power adapter like the Xuma 18W USB Type-C Wall Charger with Power Delivery BH #XUPDAC118W. If you have multiple switches as well as the cloud key, getting a switch would work best. The US-8-60W is a good option.

Q: 9. Does this provide any additional advantage over the UniFi software running on a server?

A: The Cloudkey is a dedicated device and would not require the server to be online or use server system resources to run.

Q: 10. What processor does it have?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UNVR-PRO UniFi Protect NVR Pro (No HDD), B&H # UBUNVRPRO, processor is not specified.

The gen 1 cloud key had a fatal flaw where sudden power disruptions would wipe the configuring and force you to rebuild your unifi setup. The gen2 and gen2+ fix this by adding a small on board batteryto allow for graceful shutdown in the event of power cycling the switch or a power failure. As for the rest, the casing and build quality are nice. The plus model ships with a 1TB 2.5 inch drive for use with protect. The user can swap this for up to a 5TB. The cloud key is the hardware running the Unifi network local hosted browser based GUI. It's a single pane of glass admin panel for setting up and administering your unifi network. Being locally hosted you avoid web hosted costs and outage concerns. Unifi does have its quarks but for a home or SMB user that wants or needs VLAN integration, multiple SSID capable APs, and doesn't want to spend all their time learning to code, it's a great option. I will say it requires modest knowledge and understanding of networking and network architecture but there's tons of tutorials online about configuring and running unifi.

Well, although a fully functional poe 1000 plugged in to the Cloud Key, it reports no Ethernet. Hard reset doesn't work. Reset to factory fresh, and still on the fritz but pinnacle. Latest firmware isn't recognized but the release previous is functional. It all worked out in the end. I'm still a fan.

Very nice piece of equipment. I now have a controller running 24x7 without needing a computer running. If you use all Ubiquiti products, it is awesome how the controller running on this give you info about your network. The protect part for the cameras is also a great update over the old NVRs. I was originally annoyed about losing remote access to the NVRs, but this is a great upgrade. I have 2 of these and will buy a 3rd for a remote location.

Setup was easy. It serves multiple purposes and works with the various Unifi apps such as networking, surveillance, access and phones. I upgraded the hard drive to 5tb. That was super easy as well. This is a must if you plan on adopting any type of Unifi equipment such as Wi-Fi or cameras but don't want to deal with their gateway/router equipment as I use my own.

I have used all of Ubiquiti's cloud key options. The desktop controller is nice, but it is reliant on the computer always being on. The cloud keys make that null as they don't rely on a computer. So they are pretty much always on. They work great and the cloud key gen2 plus worls great.

I have the Cloud Key Gen2 Plus configured as a NVR only and it is working grate with 3 Unifi protect G4 cameras, I have I set up my family's members with there own user account so they can setup custom alerts to there iPhone. I did up grade the hard drive to a Samsung 1TB SSD for better performance. I plan on buying more Unifi protect G4 when they come back in stock.

I ended up replacing the Gen1 CloudKey since it would regularly lock up every two weeks or so and stop monitoring my network. It worked without issue for about 2 years before falling into this pattern. According to Unifi's online forums, I'm not alone with this problem and it was likely a hardware issue. So far, the new version works as expected and I have yet to have to reset it. I also like that I can use this to control some cameras through Unifi Protect even though I have not done so yet. Migrating from Gen1 to Gen2 was a simple matter of creating a backup on the old version and restoring it on the new one.

The display is very helpful as it provides some indication of status which the first generation was lacking.
