This is a solid, reliable, fast card reader. Goes with me whenever shooting on location, and works great. Built to take a beating, but doesn't weigh a ton like some other heavy duty readers.

exactly the reader I was looking for! UHS-II speeds, reads/writes all cards simultaneously, solid metal housing, power/access LED, detachable USB-C cable, & stackable design.

I upload high volumes of RAW images from both CF and SD cards with file sizes up to 120MB/file. This device does a great job of reading these files at high speed and from both card types simultaneously. It's designed to work in a housing, but works great on its own.

This reader is perfect for on the road video production where you are downloading various cards from cameras to drones. It has to be fast, reliable and versatile. It is all three.

Solid card reader. Reads CF cards at their top speed. I like that is plugs into my new mac directly with a USB C cable.

Love the feel of the built of this device. Cards mount on it solidly; they are quickly read by the computer.

I was able to download a full 64GB cf card in seven minutes. My old reader took a half hour. The only problem is the cord included is too short and you have to use a cord that is rated to transmit data or it doesn't work,

I purchased this SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader after my laptop SD card reader failed. Ordered it from B&H overnight delivery and it arrived at 10am next day - so kudos to B&H for that.

Here's my first thoughts on this SanDisk card reader:

-It's fast! First time using it was able download 202 21MP photos from Import to ready to edit in the Develop module in Lightroom in 40 seconds - about 1/4 of the time required compared to my laptop's now defunct card reader. Your milage will vary.

-It's USB-C 3.2 version 2 as advertised. (My Windows 11 ProArt Studio laptop does have a USB-C 4 Thunderbolt input. However Thunderbolt card readers cost $200-$300 or more, which was more than I was willing to pay, so this SanDisk reader was a happy compromise. Nevertheless, plugged it into the Thunderbolt port to attain the download speed I mentioned above).

-Build quality. The case is made of rugged ribbed aluminum that I think will stand up exceptionally well in a busy office environment. It also looks 'professional' as it not constructed of cheap looking plastic. On the bottom of the case there are four small rubber feet that should stop it from sliding around on a desk like plastic card readers are wont to do. Finally, and this is a big plus for this Sandisk card reader compared to another plasticky 'Top Seller' sold for the same price, the several times I have use it so far it never became too hot to touch or to remove the SD card from it. It's one cool dude, in fact.

- Size wise, it's roughly the size of a business card though maybe an inch longer. And if you require more than one I believe SanDisk offers a raid style enclosure to accommodate up to four.

My conclusion: This SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader is very fast, well built, looks professional and stays cool to the touch. So, would I recommend it to a friend. Absolutely!
