It does what it's supposed to do. You should be aware that if you charge an iPhone into one of the dedicated charging ports that the phone won't be recognized by your computer. 5

I have an older USB-3 setup - all the cables have type A connectors so this hub is ideal for that - no real-estate used up for type C connectors. I especially like having individual buttons to control each port. I can leave all my peripherals plugged-in and choose which to have live. I have several external drive combinations and this feature lets me boot them as needed. 5

I needed another USB port and found this one on B&H's website. The thing I liked about it was it had seven USB ports and three charging ports. It is a sturdy unit with buttons to shut on/off each port. It works really well and I like the addition of the charging ports. I am very satisfied with the unit. 5
