Styled in black, the Telex RTS BP-325 is a 2-channel portable beltpack station designed to work in conjunction with RTS Two-Wire intercom systems and the appropriate, dynamic headset mic. It facilitates conversations across the air-waves in one of two fashions: you can either hold down the Talk button—which instantiates momentary mode, allowing you to remain inaudible when you're not pressing the button—or, conversely, tap the Talk button a few times, which will occasion the mechanism to latch into an ever-on position. Be advised, if you instantiate latching mode, everything you say will be heard until such time as you turn it off.

This unit also sports the ability to send out a call signal, should you need page someone on one of the two provided channels. Likewise, you might also find yourself paged; in this case, the red call LED will flash, presenting you with the opportunity to speak with the person courting your attention.

The RTS BP-325 also features a sidetone adjustment control for changing the level of your own voice in your discrete pair of headphones whilst talking. The unit supports mono and stereo headsets, and there's also a separate connector for monaural carbon-mic headsets. Furthermore, the RTS BP-325 sports the ability to generate an inaudible signal which can effectively "kill" the ongoing signals of unattended intercom stations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is a 5 pin male xlr available?

A: For availability and shipping questions please email sales@bhphoto.com

Q: 2. I purchased Telex LH-300 headset for this unit and it did not work. It is wired completlt differently than the headsets that I have. How can I tell which is the correct headset?

A: This would be the correct headset for the Telex RTS BP-325 . B&H # TEPH88ER that is the B&H part number.

Q: 3. Will the 3.5mm version work with a mobile device in conjunction with Clear-Com's Agent-IC application?

A: Yes. The LH 300 has a TRRS and requires 2V, which a mobile device would provide. As far as the CC App goes, suggest contacting Clearcom.

Q: 4. Can i buy the foam comfort surrounds for the telex airman 750 set?

A: Unfortunately B&H is unable to source Telex aviation related products at this time.

Q: 5. Is the headset connector on the box a 4-pin female or male?

A: The Mono Headset out is a 4-pin Female, and the Stereo Headset out is a 5-pin female. The line out is a 3-pin female XLR.

Q: 6. When I plug one of these headsets with the 5 pin connector into an RTS two-channel beltpack, I can only hear channel 1. What am I doing wrong?

A: There is a jumper inside the beltpack that configures the box to work either in stereo or mono mode. The headset has a 5 pin connector, but is still a mono headset. You'll need to set that beltpack to mono for you to be able to hear both channels on this headset.Hope it helps.

Q: 7. Can this work with BMD Studio Pro Cameras, are there volume issues as it is with Eartec?

A: No. The Blackmagic Design Studio Pro Camera has a 5-pin XLR female connector, so the compatible headset will need to have a 5-pin XLR male connector. This Telex HR-2- Dual Sided Headset with Boom Mic has an XLR 4-pin female connector, so it is not compatible for use with the camera.

Q: 8. Does the 5-pin male LH-302 separate channels between ears like my PH44? Channel 1 in one ear and Channel 2 in the other ear?

A: The internal wiring for the Telex LH-302 Lightweight RTS Double-Sided Broadcast Headset and the Telex PH-44 Lightweight Dual-Sided Headset is the same.

Q: 9. Does it come with a case? Would like to keep it protected and in good condition while traveling.

A: It doesn't have any case=

Q: 10. Does it come with a carrying case?

A: No, a carrying case is not included with the LH-302 headset. The compatible Telex LH-SC RTS Carrying Case for LH Series Headsets (B&H # TELHSC) is available for purchase separately.
