The black QSC E112 is a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker, well suited for sound reinforcement applications including live performance, DJ and dance music, karaoke, and event production. The E112 requires an amplifier with a minimum of 400W continuous (1600W peak) to power the 12" woofer and 1" compression driver that combine to offer a frequency response of 64 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB) with a peak SPL of 128 dB. QSC recommends the use of a DSP speaker processor or a power amplifier with integrated DSP in order to set crossovers, limiting, and equalization to ensure the best performance. QSC's GXD or PLD amplifiers, as well as TouchMix digital mixers offer on-board DSP and factory-tuned presets, which provide settings for live sound reinforcement (with and without subwoofers), stage monitoring, dance music, and karaoke.

The 15mm, 11-ply enclosure provides a direct-match-transition (DMT) coverage angle of 85°, which is suitable for most medium and medium-to-long-throw applications. An all-metal, dual-angle, 35mm socket allows the loudspeaker to be mounted vertically on a pole or angled down by 10° to improve audience coverage and reduce rear wall reflections. Multiple mounting options using E Series Yoke or M8 eyebolts (sold separately) are supported. Input connections include dual NL4 as well as screw terminal receptacles.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the power adapter can be plugged to a 220V outlet?

A: No. 110

Q: 2. Can this play all 4 speaker channels at once?

A: Yes, you can run all four output channels at the same time.

Q: 3. Does this provide plenty of power to 250 or 600 ohms power without the feeling that I need a higher power amp?

A: The specs on the ART HeadAmp 6 show 150mw with headphones of 8 or 600 ohms. It also states much higher power (500mw) with 32 ohm headphones. One must also consider: 1- the headphone sensitivity specification, which will tell you how loud a headphone is, based on the power applied. 2- the transients in whatever it is you are listening to; large transients requires much more power. see below article of explanation: https://www.audeze.com/blogs/technology-and-innovation/sensitivity-impedance-and-amplifier-power

Q: 4. does this unit have a cooling fan ?

A: This appears to use a heat sync with ventilation.

Q: 5. Will the output continue to the speakers even if I connect a headset to the headset jack?

A: The audio will still continue for the Pyle Pro 4-Channel Compact Stereo Amplifier System with Bluetooth (B&H # PYPTA42BT) even when a headphone is plugged in. The headphone input will have its independent volume control.

Q: 6. If I get the correct cables could I send the signal from a crosley turntable to this, then to a receiver? The ol' yamaha is running down at -18db to be able to hear the records at a decent volume from the passive speakers it's driving... I need it amped up a bit before it gets there methinks.

A: I can't answer from knowledge of the specific turntable, but every phono I've ever known for the past 40 years requires a phono preamp for two reasons. 1) The signal level is way, way too low for directly connecting to a headphone amp or any line-level device. 2) Most importantly phonographs are all recorded with a very treble-skewed EQ according to the standard RIAI curve, a phono preamp is designed to nullify that curve by being exactly opposite towards a heavy bass response. In short, there is no substitute for a phono preamp. Make sure it is labeled and defined as phono preamp.

Q: 7. The unit won't turn on?

A: If the unit is not receiving power and the LED indicator is not lit, it is possible either the included power supply or the unit itself is defective. Q: 8. Are these good for audio technica m40x headphones?

A: Yes the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Headphones would work well with the Pyle Pro PHA40 Headphone Amplifier.

Q: 9. Hi, is the adapter 110v or 230v ?

A: The ART HeadAmp4 available from B&H will ship with a 110VAC power adapter.

Q: 10. is it possible for a battery to run this unit?

A: Unfortunately no. It must have DC power.

My existing amplifier did a poor job of sending sound to its Zone 2 (which consisted of 4 more locations in my house). The PTA42BT allowed me to boost the existing Zone 2 output. Plus now being able to control bass, treble and volume. Great sound!

I use this amplifier to do two things, really. It acts as both a volume controller and an output selector for my computer's audio. I purchased this AMP800 to compliment my new Sony MDR-XB500 headphones, and it does a great job of it (they sound awesome). It lets me seamlessly route my music to either my headphones or my desktop speakers and lets me do so without having to adjust the volume control in Windows. The volume/balance control knobs are very smooth and don't give any crackle or static when adjusting. It's got output ports for each channel on both the front and rear of the unit which makes it really convenient to hook up cables where it's easiest to access them (my headphones are connected to the front and my speakers are connected to the rear). The built-in amplifiers are capable of powering all 8 ports (4 independent amplifiers with 2 ports each) simultaneously, if I ever felt the need to hook that many headphones/devices to it. Easily accessible source input volume/balance controls, independent source selector switches, and individual output volume controls with LED level meters made this an easy choice for me. The build quality seems to be pretty decent for the price, and the sound quality is really good. The unit is light weight, so if you need portability, this should be easy to transport. My only gripe is that it requires an adapter for what I use it for; The inputs are individual 1/4 mono plugs, so I had to buy a Y-cable (3.5mm stereo to dual 1/4 mono). B&H has one, and it was relatively inexpensive, so not a real problem. Also keep in mind that all the outputs on the AMP800 are 1/4, so if your headphones have 3.5mm plugs, you'll need adapters (I already had a few, so again, not a problem for me). Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
