Very fast card reader as long as you do not use the attached prograde usb-c 4 cable.
As soon as one replaces the original cable, he can enjoy the true speed of this card reader.

I upgraded my network to 10Gb, and this little card stand out from the rest, it is probably one of the few ones that are Gen4. I tested on X4 and I was able to get 8Gb/s transfer rate (which is the limit for Gen4x4) installing drivers was simple to get the *inf file from Marvel.

I ran into an issue that on high bandwidth, the network card disconnects and required me to restart the adapter, after talking to the excellent customer services, turned out to be an old / conflicting driver that was causing the issue. removing that solved the problem.

I purchased this to take advantage of my 3Gbps connection, my X670E Tomahawk does 2.5gGbps and I would see 2.3gbps upload/download during a speedtest.net, upon placing this card in the bottom slot and installing the driver I was back up and running in under 10 minutes on Windows 11. Now my internet connection does 3.2gbps without any downsides thanks to the gen 4 connection. I would recommend this card it was very easy to get running on W11.

My third purchase of the OWC card. Replaced a 2.5 GbE card (PCIe 3.0). Actually averages 10-15 MB faster throughput speeds on file transfers @ 2.5 in the same 4.0 slot. Waiting for the QNAP QSW-M3216R-8S8T switch to be restocked at B&H to get to full 10 GbE on the network. The QNAP allows for link static aggregation. Using 2 cards in each computer, should allow 20 GbE transfers with copper. Will require additional purchases of this card to accomplish this, but well worth it for just using CAT6a and CAT8 copper. Better able keep up with the NVMe drives R/W in the computers. Well satisfied with these cards performance, especially in 10 GbE mode. (See below)
