Bearing a striking pink finish in honor of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NCBF), this Solitaire 1-Cell AAA LED Flashlight from Maglite is a pocket-sized illumination tool that makes a useful keychain light. The Solitaire's single LED emitter produces a 47-lumen output to light large areas and rooms, with a focusable beam that goes from a wide flood to a tight spotlight with a simple twist of its head. Like other Maglites, the Solitaire is constructed of anodized aluminum for enhanced corrosion resistance, and it is water resistant, impact resistant to 6.6', and manufactured in the United States. I carry this on my key chain and it replaced the incandescent version of this which I've carried for about 10 years. These things really stand up and now with the LED bulb, it's 10x brighter! Good deal on this from B&H. Get one! 5

... at least as magnificent as a small flashlight can be. Much brighter than my non-LED Maglite Solitaires. I keep one of these in each of my camera bags. Adjustable beam and runs on an AAA. Maglite products have a nice quality feel and this one is no exception. Nice little light. 5

I've been using Maglite's since they first came out. When LED lights became the rage, Maglite was behind the pack, in my opinion. I still would not claim LEDs are their forte but this is a terrific little light for the money. It's the same size as the original Solitaire but 10 times brighter. I'm not sure of the value of the focussing head or ability to use it without the head as a candle any more given how bright it is. They could have made it a little shorter and forgone those features. But at least it feels familiar on my keychain. Very nice Ruby color instead of the standard black. While it can't claim to be fully made in the U.S., it is assembled here which is a huge plus. I just wish it had a low-level setting around 1 lumen as it is actually too bright for some uses. Well worth the money though... 5
