Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this bag hold a OM-5 w/12-45 f4 lens attached, 8-25 f4 and 40-150 f4?

A: They will fit, but the lenses that are off camera will touch each other. The Think Tank Photo Retrospective 5 V2.0 Shoulder Bag (Pinestone) does not have separate compartments for the two extra lenses. It only has one divider. You may want a different case that has more dividers.

Q: 2. Will this bag hold 2 Leica M bodies with small lenses attached to each camera?

A: The Think Tank Photo Retrospective 5 V2.0 Shoulder Bag should be fine with two Leica M11 cameras with lenses attached. But the lenses can not be any longer than 3 inches. And smaller would be better.

Q: 3. Will this bag fit a Nikon Z5 w/ 14-30/F4 S lens attached and Nikkor 24-200/F4-6.3 on end next to it? Seems to "just fit" by spec dims.

A: Yes a Z5 with a 14-30f/4 lens attached and the 24-200 not attached will fit in that bag. It will be snug.

Q: 4. Will this bag hold a 12.9” iPad Pro (newer version)? Thx!

A: This is made for 10" Tablet or 13" Laptop

Q: 5. Will this bag fit a Nikon Z7 with L plate and 24-70 f/4 attached and a prime lens? Looking for smallest Retrospective messenger to hold this kit without being too snug.

A: You could fit your Nikon step up in this case if placing the camera on its side.

Q: 6. Will this fit Microsoft 12.3" Multi-Touch Surface Pro 6 ? … Thank you.

A: It might be a snug fit, but it looks like it may work. The Laptop/Tablet compartment dimensions for the Think Tank Photo Retrospective 10 V2.0 Shoulder Bag are listed as 11.4 x 9.1 x 1.0", while the dimensions of the Microsoft 12.3" Multi-Touch Surface Pro 6 is listed as 11.5 x 7.9 x 0.3". The length of the Surface Pro is almost exactly the length of the compartment, which may be the only issue, which is why I say it is snug. As this is a new item that has not yet been released, I would recommend purchasing the case, and if it does not work for your usage needs, we do have a 30-Day Return Policy that would allow you to return the case for an exchange or a refund (subject to the terms & conditions on our Return Policy).

Q: 7. Will my Lumix S5 with 20-60 kit lens and the LUMIX S 70-300 fit reasonably? Willing to remove lens hoods.

A: The Think Tank Photo Retrospective 5 V2.0 Shoulder Bag (Pinestone) (B&H# THR5V2PS) can indeed accommodate the Panasonic Lumix S5 Mirrorless Camera with 20-60mm Lens (B&H# PADCS5K) with that lens being attached to the body, and also with the Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 MACRO O.I.S. Lens (B&H# PA70300M) in the compartment next to it. We would even consider it likely (but not certain) that it will all fit as described with the lens hoods mounted backward on the lenses.

Q: 8. Will this bag hold a 5D IV with 24-70 2.8 attached plus a 600RT flash?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will it fit a Canon 7D Mark 2 with a battery grip and Tamron 18-400mm lens attached? If so, how many other lenses could be packed as well?

A: This will be able to fit your Canon 7D Mark II with the lens, and battery grip. You can also bring with you one an additional lens.

Q: 10. Does anyone know how many dividers this bag comes with?

A: This bag includes 6 dividers.

Very happy with this bag; it carries small but has plenty of space. Room for a 1DX body, 2 primes, and my 11 Macbook Air. The front pocket has plenty of room for cards and cords. Very happy with this bag.

This is my second Retrospective shoulder bag. I bought the 5 v2 first and it was a bit too small, so I passed it on to my girlfriend who has a Canon T1i and it is perfect for her. I bought this one and it is perfect for my Nikon D750 with L-bracket and sling strap attached. It fits with my 28-300 attached easily along with an extra lens and my speedlight. Lots of pockets for all the extras like filers, lens wipes, replacement eyepieces etc. It even fits my HP Spectre x360 13 laptop (snug, but fits!). Fantastic unique features like the silencers for velcro, collapsible water bottle pocket, zippered flap for the top, etc. Strap extremely comfortable and has non-slip grips.  Excellent design on this bag. I am so impressed with the quality and design of the Retrospectives. I think, for most air travel, I will leave my backpack behind and just fly with this for my camera gear.
My first 2 Think Tank purchases. I dont think they will be the last! Well done Think Tank.

I was looking for a bag to hold my larger lenses and this was a winner! Plenty of space for extras, love the color.

I shoot gripped bodies. One body, a flash, and second lens fits fine. I bought the bag for events to carry flash, and extra lenses etc. easy to hand; for this function this bag is ideal. I used the rain cover the first time out...a feature I always appreciate with Think Tank bags.

Bought this Retrospective 10 to replace a 30-year-old Domke bag which was starting to fall apart. I have been able to squeeze in a Nikon D850 with 24-120 f/4 lens and a RRS L-bracket attached, a Nikkor 16-35 f/4 wide zoom and a Nikkor 70-300 f/4/5-5.6, with enough room left in one corner for my Sony RX100. It's a tight fit, though. This is a bit more than Think Tank claims for the bag, probably because I don't generally travel with a laptop so this allows a bit more room in the main compartment. There is also an outside back pocket which holds a tablet. The front pocket opens up quite wide but it's not secure enough to carry anything important — this is my least favorite thing about the bag. There is an open pocket on one end for a water bottle, but I wish there was a pocket on the other end for miscellaneous gear — batteries, memory cards, etc. I know Think Tank makes an auxiliary pouch which can be attached there and I may end up buying one.

I shoot film and use this bag for a Hasselblad 500 C/M with attached lens, two extra film backs, 5 filters, light meter, etc., and about ten rolls of film. I was about to order a Billingham bag specifically for this purpose (I have two for other purposes and love them), but a review on the bag I was going to order put me onto this bag which I was totally unfamiliar with. The full opening top as well as other well designed features sold me on this bag. Not as pretty as a Billingham by far, but for me it is an ideal working/shooting bag, and I am quite pleased with my choice..

Lightweight and roomy, with an amazing number of compartments and pockets to stash stuff. So many, in fact, that I forget where I put things. Only drawback for mr was the zippered cover over the main compartment...seems unnecessary and tend to get in the way sometimes.

I've owned a lot of camera bags over the last fifty-plus years, and this one has to be the best thought out. It is secure, comfortable to carry, and convenient. I ordered this size to carry a camera and two lenses, one of which is a 70-210 f2.8, and it works perfectly with the shorter lens on the camera. There's still enough room for a flash. I used the built-in flaps to cover some of the book and look material that secures the top cover because it's pretty aggressive. I won't be using the supplied rain cover here in the desert. Oh, and I like the color of the bag. I hate black bags because they show dirt and get hot in the sun. If I ever need to replace my big Tamracs, it will probably be with one of the larger bags from this maker.

This bag has so many features and solutions to problems i've had in the past. I have a giant rolling bag (also Think Tank) but I'm so tired of lugging it everywhere, even to small sessions where I don't need 4 lenses and 4 flashes etc. My camera also needed a spot where I didn't have to take it apart to fit. This gives my camera a home and holds 2 more lenses and I can fit a flash and trigger. Fits a tablet or laptop as well. I love that it doesn't stick out as a camera bag specifically. The fabric is nice and seems durable although it does gather some cat hair (but what doesn't?). I love the silent velcro covers and the tuck away zippered flap and the collapsible water bottle holder! I even found a key clip in one of the pockets that I can attach my card pocket to. Their name is very fitting - Think Tank did think of everything.
