This 4-stop, 43mm Graduated Neutral Density Attenuator/Blender Filter from Tiffen is densest at one edge where it corresponds to a reduction of light entering a lens by 4 stops and tapers to clear at the other edge. Its gradation can be used to selectively darken an image from edge to edge, allowing for wider apertures or reduced shutter speeds. While this graduated attenuator/blender's 1.2 density can be applied to bright skies, the remaining regions of the image are exposed with a progressively decreasing effect.

This filter is constructed using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.

Q: 1. Will this cause vignetting on the new Canon 10-18mm lens? Thanks!

A: The Tiffen 67mm Circular Polarizing Filter will not vignette on the Canon 10-18mm lens.

Q: 2. It says "Series 8", so is it compatible with Hasselblad SWC's Biogon C 38mm lens?

A: The Hasselblad SWC's Biogon C 38mm lens uses a series 60 mount, not the Series 8 mount. The B+W Series 8 MRC 102M ND 0.6 Filter will not fit the Hasselblad 38mm SWC lens.

Q: 3. Zeiss f/4 uv filter best

A: This does not appear to be a question as much as a statement. I have not had any issues w my purchase.

Q: 4. Is this the proper size filter for my Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm lens?

Q: 5. Will this filter fit my Sony full frame 50mm 1.4 Lens ?

Q: 6. Will this work with a canon 10mm macro 2.8 L is lense?

A: cannot answer directly but i did hesitate w/ the wide angel lens. set a straight edge (carefully) across the front of the lens and if the front glass is below the edge w/o touching a filter should be okay, otherwise you will need to stack some rings to gain clearance.

Q: 7. What's the weight of the filter Could it be used instead of the balancing ring needed for the X5S?(drone proposes).

A: Unfortunately we are not able to weigh products here, and it is not a provided specification from the manufacturer. It is recommended you contact the manufacturer for any more in-depth specifications such as this. But it is our guess that it would work very similarly to a balancing ring, though it is not an exact measurement.

Q: 8. What is covered by this warranty? What is NOT covered?

A: According to Tiffen's site, their warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal conditions of use.

Q: 9. Will this fit tiffen 49 to 55 step ring?

A: Yes it would. The second number in step-up ring designations always comment on the filter size, the first number is always regarding the lens' thread size.

Q: 10. Will this product fit a sony 18-135 62mm lens lens

A: Yes it will, this is a proper fit for your Sony 18-135mm lens.

Works great with Canon 50mm F1.2. Price was somewhat lower than the others, probably because the box was previously opened, returned and resold as new.

Solid construction, quality glass ND filter that helps me slow my images down in bright conditions. I often like to slow down or blur movement in my images. This is perfect for the job.

I use this on my old Canon AE-1 Program film camera to help cut down the light for when I want to open up my lens more for shallower DOF. It is very well-made and cleans up easy.

Same great quality that B+W always delivers. Nice brass threads that do not bind up. Good color rendition.

B+W is a fantastic optics manufacturer. I have been doing photography as a new hobby in the last year and I have come to realize that filter optics quality is as important as the lens you have. B+W filters are superb and crystal clear. I have a CPL by B+W and it is wonderful. I would highly recommend this manufacturer for anyone.

I use my camera primarily for family photos, but also will capture some landscape and people shots. Just getting started with exploring ND filters (with or without flash). Using this on my 80-200 nikkor lens I was able to get some interesting shots at a lakeside sunset. For subjects that are farther away (beyond your flash) this is the max darkness you could find usable. I look forward to experimenting with flash, as well as, stronger stops for landscapes.
