The Tokina Cinema ATX 11-20mm T2.9 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens (Nikon F Mount) features a super-wide field of view and cine-style design elements. It covers Super 35mm image sensors and is a parfocal lens, holding focus throughout zoom moves. The Cinema ATX 11-20mm maintains a constant T2.9 aperture throughout its zoom range, eliminating the need for exposure compensation as you zoom in. Its durable metal housing withstands the rigors of cine production and incorporates 0.8 Mod lens gears for compatibility with FIZ (focus/iris/zoom) control systems.

Interchangeable EF, LPL, PL, Sony E, and MFT lens mounts are available separately for swapping with the Nikon F mount, expanding the lens's compatibility with additional cameras. The Tokina Cinema ATX 11-20mm incorporates low-distortion glass, and its 9-bladed iris produces attractive bokeh in out-of-focus areas. Focus (feet), iris, and zoom settings are marked on both sides of the lens barrel.

Additional cine features include a minimum focus distance of 12", 300° of focus rotation, and an industry-standard 95mm front diameter compatible with most pro-style matte boxes. An 86mm front thread provides a second filtration option especially useful for low-profile or lightweight rig configurations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will 11-20mm F-Mount cause trouble due to the distance from sensor on Nikon Z8 with Nikon FTZ adpt?

A: The Tokina Cinema ATX 11-20mm T2.9 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens (Nikon F Mount) will fit into the FTZ II adapter without any problems. The image if then lens on our site is not the F mount variant.

Q: 2. Is this lens weather sealed?

A: It is not listed as weather sealed, so I'll take it as a no.

Q: 3. Will this cover a full frame sensor like the S1H?

A: This lens will only cover a Super 35mm sized sensor. If you have an adapter to use this with the S1H it will not cover the entire Full Frame of the sensor.

Q: 4. Is it truly parafocal as you zoom in? DOes it require / allow adjusting the lens to fix focus for each camera it is used on?

A: Yes, this is a parfocal lens.

Q: 5. Is this the same lens just rehoused as the atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF? Optically the spec out the same.

A: no it is not.

Q: 6. The filter thread is 86mm. Will there be any issues if I step that down to an 82m so I can use the VND's I already own?

A: Using a step-down ring could cause vignetting when using the Tokina Cinema ATX 11-20mm T2.9 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens. We recommend using 86mm filters with this lens, or a matte-box solution.

Q: 7. What is the FOV of this lens at 11mm on a super35 sensor?

A: FOV would break down as follows: Hor. Vert. Diag AoV 97.1° 80.6° 109° FoV (US) 18' 1.00" 13' 7.00" 22' 7.00"

Q: 8. Is this PL Mount OK with Sony F5 F55 PL mount camera?

A: Yes, this PL Mount will work with the Sony F5 and F55 PL mounts.

Q: 9. I shoot with a FF eos R - will i get the full 11-20mm focal length or will it be cropped bc of APS-C..?

A: Tokina atx-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF Lens for Canon EF will crop the sensor of the Canon R because it is only an APS-C lens.

Q: 10. Does the e-mount and and ef-mount versions of this lens (used with metabones ef-e adapter)work equally on a Sony Fs7?

A: An EF mount version of this lens when used with an EF to E-Mount adapter on the FS7 should work just as well as getting just the E-Mount version of the lens. However if possible using the E-Mount version of this lens on the FS7 would be the best route to go.

This lens works great on my mirrorless Canon R10. After taking into account the cropping factor I am right where I want to be for landscape photos. The adapter from EF to RF is very smooth.

I had an off-brand 14mm manual focus lens that I bought expecting to rarely use it, never having been into ultra-wides. I found myself using it regularly while wandering the streets of Istanbul on a photo shoot. While my normal glass produced most of the keepers from the trip, several came from this oddball lens. I upgraded to this Tokina and boy is it impressive! I haven't been on a shoot with it yet, but I tested it out in the studio and around the neighborhood, doing comparison shots with it and the older MF 14; the sharpness at the same focal length is considerably, visibly, better. The accuracy of the AF is much better than the old MF focus matching using the indicator in the camera. Plus, this lens is still just as sharp as it moves up to 20mm. The distortion at 11mm is obviously there, but Lightroom is able to correct it to tolerable levels with a single click. At 14 and above, it's the same/less than the old lens, very much correctible. The zoom gives flexibility, the lens is sharper, the price was right - no complaints and VERY happy I bought this!

I bought this in my quest to put together an HD Video package for under $1000. It’s on my recently purchased $300. Canon 70D (thanks B and H). The dual pixel AF is nailing focus in low light. In manual focus mode a grippy ring rotates about 100-120degrees, but the very cool part is does not chatter. No focus by wire!! Focus by mechanical engagement! Hard stops! Yes! I will take my calipers and measure for a flexible follow focus ring today, which will allow a more precise move due to increased radius. Can’t wait to throw on the Chroziel follow focus. Zooming? Constant aperture. Internal focus. Weight and size. It won’t fit in your pocket and you are going to want a shoulder strap! Overall a very high quality glass. Oh, and the 70D recognizes this lens for CA and Vignette control. Thanks Luis L Pro Rep at B and H for suggesting this lens!!

I bought this lens primarily for astrophotography but it's also great for landscapes. We spent a few days at Milorho Lodge in the Magaliesberg Mountains and photographed amazing wind-weatherd rock formations by day and night.
