Q: 5. I was referred by celestron technician using this telescope tube as a finderscope. The original finderscope goes with the 8'' reflective telescope tube is very shaky on its mount. Does anyone know if this 70mm telescope fit well on the 8'' tube?

A: I bought this telescope for my son in 2015. The 70mm telescope does fit well on the 8 tube. My son has been super happy with this telescope, hes been able to pack it up and take it camping with us and its extremely strudy. Definitely a good buy.

A: The 15mm eyepiece would yield 26.667 power and a 3mm exit pupil, so it should be OK depending on how well the objective is. That's still only 9 power per inch, but this is a fast f/5.7 objective which is more difficult for higher magnifications. I think the 9mm eyepiece would be too much.
