Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What size conference room can this do?

A: 6.6-ft microphone pickup range in 360° Wireless Range: up to 100 ft. So up to 15' x20'

Q: 2. what is the difference between UC and MS? The reason I asked is because MS changed something on my PC and now my speakers won't work and want to buy something that will work.

A: Sorry for any inconvenience. The MS models are certified for Microsoft Skype for Business (Lync), and certain features in the headset settings are compatible when you buy a certified product, for that specific soft phone system. Overall, a UC headset should still work with a soft VoIP phone.

Q: 3. Hi, I would like to know the cord length please? Thanks

A: If you use the headphones with a computer that requires a USB connection, the cord is just about seven feet in length. If you use the headphones with a cellphone or something else that requires a 3.5 mm plug, you remove the USB/Controls portion (which is the black part) of the cable and are left with the orange portion of the cable that is four feet in length.

Q: 4. are the ear pads replaceable?

A: No. The pads are not replaceable.

Q: 5. Can the PanaCast be powered from a USB 3.0 extender such as the Icron Raven 3104 or Vaddio 999-1005-032? Both of those supply 1.2A (6W) per USB port.

A: Yes either one should be able to power the PanaCast.

Q: 6. Hi, I would like to know the cord length and if there is a mute/volume button? thanks

A: Cord length is 8 feet. There is a button that controls the microphone. It alows for on or off. On the edge of this button is a rolling wheel that controls the volume, at its lowest setting cancels all sound to the speakers.

Q: 7. Does this headphone require any special software or will it work on any operating system?

A: Theses headphoes require no special software.

Q: 8. Do I need to have a separate cord to go from the quick disconnect to the phone?

A: If your phone does not support Quick Disconnect, you would need the GN 1200 Smart Cord (http://bhpho.to/1BR19KA)

Q: 9. Can the boom rotate so it can be worn on either side of the head?

A: Yes, the Jabra Evolve 40 allows for both Left and Right side configurations for the microphone.

Q: 10. This will work on other platforms besides MS Teams right?

A: Yes, it is just optimized for Microsoft Teams.

Very nice headset, and very comfortable to wear (light; snug, but not overly so, against your ears). It does a nice job noise-cancelling on my end - with two settings to choose from - and people on the other end of meetings/calls say I sound good with no background noise even though I work in an open office with a lot of coworkers around. I like the fact that it is a USB-C headset but with a USB-A adapter permanently attached for when you want to use the headset with an older computer or device without USB-C. I also like that there are volume up/down and mute buttons on the cord. I don't use the "Teams" button to answer calls as I tend to just use my mouse to click on Teams calls since my mouse tends to be closer to my fingers than the headset cord buttons.

I do have two suggestions for improvement:
1) offer an "over the ear" version in addition to this "on the ear" design as this would help even more to reduce distracting sounds in your own background.
2) allow the user to adjust the amount of sidetone (hearing your own voice in your headset), preferably via the buttons on the cord (as opposed to some sort of app the user needs to install)

Thanks.
