The Rolls Bellari PP532 is a preamp for audiophiles. It handles input switching and volume control without introducing any powered elements that might cause distortion into the signal. Indeed, this is a passive design: no power is required, and no active electronics are in the circuit path.

The device's steel chassis houses four sets of RCA inputs in stereo pairs for your music sources, while one set of RCA connectors routes to your amplifier. A four-way selector on the front of the panel allows you to select among the inputs.

You'll notice that the front panel provides the option of plugging into a 3.5mm phone jack. This setup makes it convenient for routing signal from your smartphone or media player into the preamp without having to go round the back. The volume knob sports a Bosin potentiometer to ensure precise level adjustments. The device is hand-built in the USA, in Salt Lake City Utah. It's relatively compact at 5.5 x 3.1 x 1.6".

Q: 1. I have a TRAM TR-50 lav mic that is made to use with the Senn EW100 G3 system. I have teh Senn ME2 as well that came with the G3 kit. I would like to be able to use both the TR-50 and the ME2 wired to my SD-302. Since the TR-50 is wired to work with the G3 I assume this would work to use it wired (in lieu of the TRAM TR 79+ unit for the same purpose). Can anyone who as ACTUALLY done this confirm that it will work? I too assume it will, but would like to hear from someone who has actually done it if at all possible. Thanks!

A: I know it doesnt work with my Countryman B3. I think it is tuned for the ME2. It clips and distorts with my Countryman. It is possible if the TRAM is similar sensitivity as ME2.

Q: 2. Will I be able to use this to connect my vintage Technics turntable to my Yamaha AV receiver?

A: Yes it has the RIAA equalization built in. Otherwise it would not work with output of a turntable. It would sound like crap. I have on and have tested it and it sounds fine.

Q: 3. How is this product different than the Rode VXLR+ ? Voltage ? Impedance ?

A: The Rode VXLR Plus does not provide the same voltage that the Sennheiser provides. The Rode does 3-5v. For example: the Sennheiser ME 2 requires 7.5v. The Rode VXLR Plus would not supply that voltage.

Q: 4. Does the PA550 have a built in rumble filter? And also what is the phono cartridge load capacitance?

A: This unit does not have a specific rumble filter built in. As well, the cartridge load capacitance is not specified by the manufacturer.

Q: 5. Do this devise will work with Sanken COS-11D XLR conector wired. To connect to Sennheiser G3 wireless system?.I will like to use my wired Sanken for wireless too, do this is possible?

A: This device has the special female mic connector (1/8 locking) for Sennheiser lavelier mics that are normally used with the G3 wireless system. It converts only those mics so they may be used with standard XLR mic cables. So this device has a male XLR connector that plugs into a standard mixer mic input. It is not suitable for connecting other kinds of mics with XLR connectors.

Q: 6. Has anyone had any luck using this Bellari PA550 to connect a turntable to an older iMac circa 2012?

A: There is no digital / USB conversion on this pre amp. You would need an interface to connect it to a computer.

Q: 7. What class is the amp?

A: The Bellari PA253 is a Class-D amplifier.

Q: 8. is this power supply dual voltage and hrtz?

A: Based on what we can tell, this power supply would be dual voltage and dual hertz.

Q: 9. Would this device work with the Countryman b3 Lav Mic mini 1/8 connector for Sennheiser? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/294555-REG/Countryman_B3W4FF05BSR_B3_Omnidirectional_Lavalier_Microphone.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/294555-REG/Countryman_B3W4FF05BSR_B3_Omnidirectional_Lavalier_Microphone.html/a

A: This device should work fine with the Countryman B3 (for Sennheiser EW series transmitters).

Q: 10. I have a Zoom H6 recorder and want to use it with the Senheisser MKE-2 lav mic (which needs 7.5V). Would I need to turn the Phantom power on in the recorder to 48V?

A: Yes, that is exactly correct.
