The CK49 Reference Shotgun Condenser Microphone Capsule from AKG is a hypercardioid reference condenser capsule with an 80° pickup angle and clean off-axis response. It can be used to capture audio and fits all gooseneck modules of the AKG Modular Plus Series as well as the HM1000 M hanging module microphones (both sold separately).

The CK49 is integrated into a slim and rugged metal housing and is an ideal tool for inexperienced speakers; when people talk into the microphone from greater distances it focuses on the voice, and when they talk into it from very short distances it reduces pop-noise. Built with self-cleaning, gold-plated contacts with deep threads to prevent misalignment, the CK49 capsule comes complete with a windscreen that reduces wind and pop noise.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a mic capsule power supply like Sennheiser offers available for purchase?

A: Thank you for your question. This unit does not have a capsule power supply available, you will only need to connect to a mic pre amp that can provide +48V of Phantom power

Q: 2. Can you directly ship it to Kathmandu, Nepal? I am paying it from Australia Please.

A: You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.

Q: 3. How can customers make informed decisions when buying headphones from B&H ($500 or otherwise) when frequency response plots aren't provided, let alone +/- on the frequency specs?

A: These are the only hard specs provided by AKG. Frequency Bandwidth: 10 Hz to 39.8 kHzSensitivity: 105 dB/VMaximum Input Power: 200 mWImpedance: 62 ? Truly the best determining factor is an actual audition of the product. B&H offers a 30-day return policy if these headphones are not suitable for any reason at all. AKG does offer a thorough review: a href= http://bit.ly/1yR2NyS target= _blank http://bit.ly/1yR2NyS/a

Q: 4. Will this work with the Zoom F1 field recorder?

A: Yes, I did a test and they are compatible.

Q: 5. Does someone who have this, think it does or would work well if put on a boom pole with the h5 to record dialogue inside?

A: Works GREAT outside, inside I have found the sound to be strangely distorted. Would not recommend for indoor dialog.

Q: 6. Considering a shotgun mic for my H6. Would there be any reason to own both the SSH and SGH versions? Is the SSH just an SGH with stereo side recording capabilities?

A: Both the SSH-6 and SGH-6 are shotgun microphones, capable of capturing audio at farther distances than a traditional handheld microphone. The benefit of the SSH-6 is that it captures audio in stereo; a benefit mostly used in music and ambient sound recording. If you are just recording dialogue, the SGH-6 would be more than adequate.

Q: 7. How can i get a replacement Mic Stand Adapter for P170?

A: It's an extremely common size. Almost any mic holder for a small diaphragm mic will work.

Q: 8. Can the mic stand adapter (mount) be purchased separately? I have an older akg perception that I'm assuming is compatible.

A: We do not have the stand adapters seperatrely but we do have shock mounts that would fit. Both by AKG and third party: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/811165-REG/AKG_1040_Z_00020_SH_100_Shockmount.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1075694-REG/auray_shm_scm1_shock_mount_for_condenser.html

Q: 9. It is a internally a 48V powered microphone?

A: The SGH-6 is powered by the Zoom recorder, but it is not 48V.

Q: 10. What is the output? There are 3 potential sources, the front & Rear mics and the external. Are they all just mixed to mono?

A: Saramonic Vmic4 Dual-Capsule Camera-Mount Supercardioid Shotgun Microphone has front and rear microphones, as well as a 3.5mm TRS input for an external microphone like a lavalier or similar mic. There is a single 3.5mm audio output which sends a combined signal with all of the mics summed to dual mono. Additionally, a headphone jack allows you to monitor the audio while recording.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and I am of the opinion that this is the only USB mic one would need. 24bit/192 KHz capable, very crisp and clean

Best mic ive ever used, i will pick up a comment that i made on a YT CHANNEL (Its not recorded with the mic, and also, i
bought it, sounds even better than at2020 +
blue yeti... 192khz 24bit, crazy quality and
configurations, using it on a desktop and s23U
works really well with all modes, even thought
about doing ASMR, and i had a really bad
quality mic stand, even that crappy stand
could hold it without having any problems, im
using the lyra mostly for VIDEO (TURORIAL
RECORDING) and gaming + voip chatting
(discord, teamspeak, Skype, zoom, teams
meets etc.) really great, plenty room for
configurations and if you want a real
plug-and-play mic, that's the way. Works for
every type of recording and audio style.)

I just bought my new LYRA for my Mac Mini Intel (2018) running Big Sur 11.6 and my iPad Pro 12.9 (2018). Both work flawlessly once I plug in and connect with the right USB cable. The sound quality is very nice, high quality, reflecting my voice character. The mute button also works well with a pinkish indicator light. I have ponder back and forth before making the purchase coz' been reading lots of uncertain reviews about incompatibility with macOS Big Sur. I'm it turns out working perfectly here.
