I purchased a set of two flashes, and, after testing them, I decided to buy two more. I always using flash light only in manual mode, and, in the case of macro photography, manual control is the best way to use external light and control its direction and lighting power.
Four flashes with all the accessories and modifiers give you unlimited possibilities for experimenting with lighting your scene.
In my opinion, Godox MF12 Macro Flash is the perfect solution for macro photography and product photography without hurting your bank account.

    Excellent macro flash system
Hands down better than Nikon and Canon due to the wireless feature
Has all the adapter rings you will ever need
Has a bunch of filters that I would not use in my biological photography
Independent control requires controller sold separately

As a macro and science lab photographer these units satisfy my need perfectly. Because of the Godox on camera controller all units are independently controlled and all without cables or line of sight triggering.
The units are small, allowing main, fill and back lights positioned in a confined space .
I will hardly need Speedlights any longer for most applications.

The Godox SK400II-V Studio Flash is an outstanding piece of equipment for anyone serious about studio photography. With 400Ws of power, it delivers consistent and reliable lighting for various setups, whether you’re shooting portraits, products, or creative projects.

What I appreciate the most about this unit is how easy it is to use. Setup is quick, and the controls are intuitive, even for those who are new to studio lighting. The build quality feels solid, and despite its relatively compact size, it provides professional-level lighting that competes with much higher-priced units.

The flash recycling time is fast, and the adjustable power settings offer precise control over the light’s intensity. The color temperature remains stable across different power levels, ensuring consistent results in a professional setting.

Additionally, Godox’s reputation for producing affordable yet high-quality lighting equipment is evident here. It’s a great choice for photographers looking for a balance of performance and value. If you need a reliable, powerful studio flash that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend the Godox SK400II-V.
