A: It cannot be removed, unfortunately. But there are ways to deal with it. You should still be able to use all your existing arca-swiss plates if you open the clamp up all the way. Simply insert it top down rather than sliding it in and it should still accommodate your current plates. You can also tape it down using some cellophane tape or gaffer's tape to keep the safety/security pin from popping up.

Q: 3. The 3K PRO Stand does come with a 3/8 mount screw adaptor like it shows on the kit? i want to use a diferent ball head but it comes with a 3/8 female mount.
