Few things will be too far away for the silver PowerShot SX740 HS Digital Camera from Canon. Boasting a 20.3MP CMOS sensor and 40x optical zoom, this all-in-one point-and-shoot can capture things near and far. Helping the far end of its 24-960mm zoom range (35mm equivalent) is optical image stabilization which keeps your photos sharp and in focus. Zoom Framing Assistant makes it easier to track subjects at the long end of the focal length by quickly zooming out and then back in at the press of a button once you've located your subject. Canon's DIGIC 8 Image Processor helps the camera keep up with your shooting, allowing for 10-fps continuous shooting with AF lock on.

The 20.3MP sensor is also capable of 4K video and 4K time-lapse recording. Framing for videos and photos can be done via the 3.0" LCD screen on the rear of the device, which can tilt 180° for selfies. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow the camera to connect to compatible mobile devices with the Canon Camera Connect app installed and enables quick editing and sharing of photos.

I bought this camera to use traveling because of it compact size and amazing zoom! Canon hit a home run with the SX740 HS. High quality pictures with an amazing zoom. It's very easy to setup the WiFi and Bluetooth. It allows you to quickly send pictures directly to your phone to forward on or to your computer/printer. The camera is very easy to use and the Optical Image Stabilizer really helps produce sharp pictures. Extremely helpful for unsteady people like me. I just love the 4K movie quality from this camera! 5

I am so happy with my purchase!! Digital cameras have been on the rise in popularity recently and about a year ago I purchased my first camera and was looking for a substantial upgrade because of how much I enjoyed using it, and I needed a small option that was a little more compact for me to bring places/travel with. This camera is perfect for everything I need, I use my camera to take pictures with my friends, take on vacation, I even use it to take professional photos for school and events. It is the perfect size to fit in a small purse or carry on, and it is extremely easy to use! I was able to watch videos online or on TikTok to play around with different photo settings to create the most vibrant photo. However, Canon cameras have been extremely difficult to find from trusted retailers, as they’re in high demand. Bought as a gift for granddaughter. Played with it extensively. This compact camera offers many or most of the benefits and features of my full frame Canon. Can be extensively customized as has quite a few setup options. Can be run fully automatic or in several other modes like fully manual. The lens gives nice telephoto reach but you need to really brace and stabilize yourself as any vibration at full extension makes it more difficult to get sharp photos - no different than any far more expensive setup. Only consideration is that with such a long telephoto lens light becomes an issue. Not a problem outdoors in daylight but might be an issue indoors. Love it! 5
