Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use the 7' wave 2 on a manfrotto 546b? 75mm bowl. Is it solid enough?

A: The 546B Tripod System is rated for 22 lb Load Capacity and the Proaim 7' Wave-2 Video Jib/Crane Arm is rated for a Maximum 55 lb Load Capacity. We will have to say the 546B Tripod System would not be appropriate.

Q: 2. How many pounds is payload of the Konova S900? Does it works with BM Ursa 4.6K ?

A: The Konova S900 SUNJIB Mini-Jib Crane has a payload of 44 lbs/19.95 kg. It can easily handle the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro which bare weighs 5.1 lbs. Fully built it, would be anywhere from 10 lbs to 25 lbs. Add the weight of the video head and you still should be well under the 44 lbs payload of this crane. Just be sure your tripod is rated to handle 50 lbs or more.

Q: 3. Does the maximum payload include the weight of the counterweights, or just the camera and head? Could the jib conceivably carry ~80lbs of combined payload of 30lbs of camera and head, along with the 50lbs (guess) of counterweight?

A: The max payload would be 44 lb for the Konova SUNJIB. This would not include counterweights. However, The optional tripod that carries the Jib and counterweights would need to be able to hold the total weight.

Q: 4. What is the payload capacity?

A: This product has a load capacity between 33 to 55 pounds.

Q: 5. What parts do I need to install an isolator or a cheese plate instead of the 100mm bowl?

A: I don't believe ProAim makes a bowl head to flat base adapter but you can use a 100mm or 75mm ball to flat base adapter directly with an isolator. An example would be: - Kessler Crane 100mm Ball Kit for KillShock Inversion Kit - Kessler Crane KillShock Inversion Mounting Kit https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1430593-REG/kessler_crane_mg1069_100mm_ball_kit_for.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1430592-REG/kessler_crane_mg1068_killshock_inversion_mounting_kit.html

Q: 8. I've never used a jib before. Thinking of getting for use with a Canon XA20 and/or EOS 70D. I need clarification on how these work. Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? Or would I need to view with my Nexus 7 via wi-fi to be sure I'm getting the same field? When fully extended will I have full control of the camera to get the view I want? Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? Would you recommend the Genustech Mini for my use? I need something very portable, quick and easy to set up and take down by one person. Any suggestions for an alternative jib? I'd like something in the $500 range. Thank you!

A: Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? answer yes If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? answer - it will maintain the level but not the view, you will need to use the tripod head to tilt down while raising the jib and tilt up while lowering it and yes you would need to use your Nexus 7 via wifi just to make sure. Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? - as long as the jib is properly balanced with counter weights or sand bags then yes it will go up an d down smoothly.and yes i would recomend it for your use

Q: 9. Will this mini-jib support the panasonic ag-ac90?

A: Hello, I don't know if you received an answer yet... But the reported weight of the ag-ac90 is 3.3-3.9 lbs. According to genus tech the max camera Weight is 9.36 lbs.

Q: 10. Is the head removable?

A: Yes

Yup, I'm a fan...
- well built and looks great
- the pan and tilt are super smooth
- the arca type quick release plate makes this compatible with my other plates
- spring-loaded counterbalance
- small form factor
- can be placed 90 vertically for social media content and/or vertical videos

By far what I love most is that the size of this video head makes it easy to travel with and yet it performs like my other more expensive and larger video heads. I love the idea of carrying less weight while also not sacrificing the performance of this tool.

Something else that stands out about this mini video head is the click sound that the plate makes when returning the camera to horizontal mode from an upright vertical position. I tend to like that click sound because it assures me that the camera is locked and secure.

Many video heads are much heavier than my carbon fiber tripod. That made sense when camcorders weighed so much. Today, a modern camcorder, such as the Sony FDR-AX700 4K Camcorder weighs only 2.06 lb. This video head is perfect for a modern camcorder. The video head has the features that I needed and doesn't have the weight that I didn't need.

This was very handy in Europe for reaching over the heads of the crowds getting some really great perspectives you normally can not get will standing in the crowd It is very lightweight and fits into your pocket to carry around. The tripod aspect was stable for small table tops and such. I also like they give you an additional piece for the head incase you lose one.

I film a lot of hunts from a tree and needed something small and compact. This head works perfect for my Canon G60. I am very happy with it.

This is a fantastic compact mini video head. The very small size is very convenient. But don't let the small form factor fool you, this doesn't sacrifice in features or workability. The build quality is awesome. It's made from high quality materials, and you can tell when you work with it. Feels very well-machined and designed. It's smooth, and strong. Specs say it can hold 4.4 pounds which is fine for the cameras I generally use. I attached my Canon DSLR camera and lens with no problems. It held it in place easily. It comes with an Arca-type quick release receiver and plate, which is fantastic. I have a bunch of products that use Arca, so it meshes well with a lot of my other gear. The head is very smooth. The pan and tilt action feels great and makes it easy to do smooth moves for such a small and compact tripod head. It comes with a fixed "drag" and spring-loaded tilt that is dialed-in just right, allowing you to do both fast moves and slower moves accurately and smooth. Love that. The separate locking knobs for the pan and tilt work well and allows you to quickly loosen or tighten things down firmly. When locked it feels very safe and secure. I like that it comes with a quick way to adjust for 90-degree vertical shots. Just loosen the dedicated knob and move it in to vertical mode easily and quickly. This is a nice feature and allows you to put it in place very securely. The panoramic base works well and having degrees listed could also come in handy and is a nice addition. I combined this head with Oben tripod legs I already owned, and it worked well with it. Again, I'm very impressed with this mini video tripod head. Its extremely well built and designed. it's a pleasure to work with. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
