Scan documents with the Canon imageFORMULA DR-C225 II Document Scanner. Featuring an optical resolution of 600 dpi, the DR-C225 II provides high image quality along with the ability to scan up to tabloid-sized documents in folio mode (folded in half lengthwise) or 8.5" wide sheets using the 30-sheet ADF at up to 25 ppm.

There are also features to help improve character legibility as well as straighten and removing shadows from images. A single click allows for the adjustment of multiple features to easily create an optimal scanned image using the intuitive front-side-forward, top-up item feeding. Save your scans in PDF, PDF/A, JBPG, TIFF, PPTX, BMP, or PNG file formats, and you can scan in color, grayscale, or monochrome. The bundled Canon CaptureOnTouch software also enables users to configure routine scan jobs for quick and easy one-touch access.

It only works with Windows 8.1 (32bit/64bit), Windows 10 (32bit/64bit), Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Mac OS 10.13, Mac OS 10.14, Mac OS 10.15.

This is the only scanner in this price range that takes as little space as possible on a desktop. Reliability is good, however I had one unit (previous model without II at the end) that failed after 2-years of usage, something with the sensor. ImageFormula line of scanners have been very reliable in the last 10+ years, most of them last 5+ years. They come with TWAIN and WIA and software is easy to use. 5

I just bought this about a month ago after my Fujitsu Scan-Snap died. Boy am I glad I switched to this Canon. Not only does it save space on my already cluttered desk, it's images and ease of use are great! I can scan directly from our FileCabinet software or I can just press the scan button on the scanner for more options, like scan to email, printer, or file. Very convenient! Highly recommend. 5

This is not the fastest scanner I have ever used but it has a small footprint on my desk and does what I need with ease. The software is straightforward, easy to use, and set up. I'm very happy with this doc scanner. The clarity of the scan is great. You can easily adjust the file size which then dictates how clear the scan is. You can skip blank pages and auto rotate documents to all be facing up. I have scanned and saved some very important (to me) documents and wouldn't use anything else. There are plug ins that allow you to scan and send by e-mail. I use this weekly for remote workers. I scan to particular folders on my computer depending on the type of project and it's all so easy. Now then, IF I were scanning hundreds of pages at a time, NOPE! The average for me is 4 to 5 pages a couple times a week. I use this in an office setting and for those high volume users, we use something else. If you, like me, are the light user then this is perfect. Shop around but don't buy your items from any other source than B&H!! Super customer service, fast shipping, a very easy to navigate site, and loads of honest reviews to help you make up your mind. NOTE - this is not for scanning photos. It will do them BUT you run the risk of damaging them. Be mindful of this. I tested it out on a few photos and it worked great but if I had old photos that were irreplaceable, I'd use a flatbed scanner. 5

Had a Canon Scanner DR 2510 for 10+ years and used it daily scanning in medical documents to email to patients. Upgraded to the DR-C225 II and works just like my old scanner, but even better. The accompanying software works very well and is more than adequate for my scanning needs. DR-C225 II highly recommended!!! 5

This is a very good scanner which is compatible with Catalina although using a Beta software version at the moment which I needed some assistance from Canon to obtain. It replaces my no longer supported DR 2010. 5
