SONUSCORE Origins Volume 1: Steel Tongue & Sansula is a Kontakt-powered melodic percussion library that offers samples of sansula and steel tongue drum, two unique instruments with an ethnic sound reminiscent of African tribal music. The sansula is a modern version of the Kalimba played by plucking metal tines attached to a membrane. The steel tongue drum is a present-day instrument with percussive sounds played with mallets or by hand. When combined in the Multi-Arpeggio Designer (MAD), the instruments produce a contemporary sounding, bell-like sound, great for creative scoring with mystical sonic landscapes.

The instruments can be played as single notes or as rhythmical patterns generated by the Multi-Arpeggio Designer. Each instrument has its own independent, fully controllable arpeggiating system that lets them react to each other, with a human feel. The library comes with over 80 MAD arpeggio presets, which combine both instruments to help you quickly create harmonic patterns, interlocking rhythms, and inspiring soundscapes.

For more possibilities to sculpt the tonal character of your sound, Origins Volume 1 comes with 12 Color presets, all radically different in character and with settings ranging from synthetic leads to glass-like sounds. MAD presets and Color presets can be combined, resulting in over 900 predefined combinations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How accurate are the Kelvin measurements? I am looking for a meter that can measure 3000K vs 3500K vs 4000K vs 4500K light sources

A: The Illuminati Instrument IM150 Light and Color Meter will accurately measure the Kelvin at those levels and more precisely than that, if required.

Q: 2. What cable do I need to connect it to my laptop? It has USB A & C ports.

A: You'll need to hook them up with xlr cables to an external soundcard, like a recording interface, that can send a balanced analog signal. The inputs of of the 8010s accept analog XLR connections. An interface or mixer that has XLR or 1/4" TRS outputs will connect to these with ease

Q: 3. So this remote apparently communicates with the GLM network adapter - does the GLM software need to be actively running on the host computer to use this remote, or can the network adapter simply be powered (by USB I presume) with no GLM software running?

Q: 6. Would this work for headphones as well?

A: Yes, this will work with headphones. Note however that it will not amplify the signal as it's a passive device, it will only allow you to attenuate it down.

Q: 7. WHAT INPUT FROM AMP AND OUTPUT TO SPEAKERS?

A: It uses speaker wire. The volume control interrupts the regular wiring.

Q: 8. What is the GLM Network Adapter? Is it required to use the remote? Is it built into the speaker? A search didn't pull up anything. Thank you!

I didn't buy this for gaming. I bought this so I could easily see the keyboard (letters light up) and the keys feel like that of an electric typewriter (learned to type on a manual typewriter, then switched to an electric). The keyboard has some weight to it so it doesn't slide around the tabletop. Ended up buying one for my husband and he loves it also.

This keyboard sounds amazing, it isn't too clickily and has a soft padding like click. The curved keycaps is a nice touch as well as the detachable cable.

For years It’s been increasingly frustrating that plastic keyboards keep getting lighter and wear out faster. The solid weight of the Alloy Origins keeps it soundly on the desk and the key response is precise and dependable. Love the customizable LED colors too

It’s a very high quality keyboard and it’s also fun with the RGB colors. You can download a control app to set up color schemes. The keys are also backlit making it easy to use in dim conditions.
