Having been using Nikon cameras since the 70's, I have a number of classic manual focus F mount Nikkors. This is a relatively inexpensive alternative to Nikon's own adaptor to use these lenses on you Z. It is also very well made and has a precision fit on both sides. Be aware that there is no exposure communication at all between the lens and camera. I use the camera display's histogram to help set exposure. The Z's highlighting focus assist works well too. I've been having fun rediscovering the joys of my 50mm f1.2 and my 105mm f 2.5 again. 5

I purchased this adapter a while back when it was first available, like the other reviewer I found that my lenses didn't quite line up. There are three small grub screws around the adapter that can be loosened with a small hex key, once loose the threaded part of the adapter can be moved and the lens can be lined up. There are cheaper options out there but it's a decent adapter that fits both camera and lenses well, don't let the possibility of misalignment worry you as it's a quick fix. 5

I wanted a simple F to Z adapter for those manual lens where the FTZ is overkill, plus as a bonus get rid of that silly tripod bump on the FTZ that is totally not needed for a old compact Nikkor manual focus lens. This is the perfect match for non AF F Mount for Z cameras. 5

I recently bought a couple of Z mount Nikons and so far have only a couple of Z mount lenses. I also bought a FTZII adapter to use with some F mount CPU lenses (Nikon & Zeiss) for mostly in studio. But I also have a number of Ai and Ais lenses that I still use outdoors, so I bought this inexpensive adapter for use with those lenses when I am outdoors. It has worked well for me. 5

I have a number of old c-mount lenses-mostly early video, 16mm, and cctv. The quality of those TV lenses (maybe 450 lines of resolution) are much less than current Z-Mount lenses. They were for 1, 2/3 and 1/2 tubes. All except one vignette in DX mode, worse in FX mode. Still they are fun to play with. Everything is manual of course. Well worth the cost of the Kipon adapter. 5
