The handle spins very well and is quite easy to grip. I use this clamp mainly to hold my 3/4 metal conduit diffusion frame. As the other reviews covered many of other creative uses of this product, its hard to add more. I've used this to clamp (with added plywood/OSB/particle board) to the top of a cabinet when there was no room to hide the light stand in the same area. I think of it as a vice that just happens to have a baby reciever on it, so the use on set is extensive. I have also read they can be be prone to theft so I keep my eyes on mine! I am a little concerned about the rubber inside the clamps (I live in a hot dry climate and rubber dies a slow death here), but I expect the rubber to last many years here regardless. 5
