A: I use it for my Sound Devices 633 along with another off brand battery as back ups when my np1 that powers everything goes down and I don't have time to change to a fresh. Both xl series batts last about 4-5 hours just powering the 633 and a boom for phantom power, I don't have them set up to power the receivers or hops. Again that's what I use them for, your mileage may vary if you are using for another purpose.

Yiu could also take the Pix connector end off your AC power brick, and have a 4-pin XLR connected to it, and the female 4-pin XLR connected to the brick side (where you cut the coaxial connector off), so yiu can still use the AC power supply. If yiu are not familiar with how power cables are wired on XLRs, get a A/V repair service to do this for you. The 4-pin power XLR connectors only use two pins, (not all four at the same time) one set is for 6-VDC connections and the other two are for 12-14 DC connections.
