Compact and essential in an audio kit if you don't have a blimp.

Not much to say since it seems pretty obvious. This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. I've tested it under many varying circumstances and it works pretty well. Of course, nothing eliminates all wind noise entirely (except for forgetting to turn on your mic) but this does a great job. It's pretty pricey but in this case you definitely get what you pay for and this is worth the price tag.

I use this on an audiotechinca 897 shotgun, mostly for dslr video recording. It really does the job well. It loses some fur, but it is minimal. One reviewer said that that sliding this windscreen on his shotgun mic is difficult and that it made him fear his mic would get damaged. I did not find that to be true. The windscreen fits nice and tight and it slides onto my mic smoothly.

I film a lot on boats, and this windscreen is a must-have for my on-camera directional mic for ambient sound and picking up people talking in run-and-gun situations without lav mics. It blocks the wind noise very well, and in a moving boat, it makes a world of difference. Totally worth it.

This fit my Sennheiser shotgun mike out of the box and onto street production without a hitch. Secure fit, excellent wind reduction. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive, it works way above its pay grade and certainly reduced the amount of ADR we had to do after our outdoor shoot.

I was hesitant to get this (even though part of the B&H kit I bought). I wanted to get a blimp but it was more than my budget allowed... due to the positive reviews I went for it. I'm very impressed with this. Fits on my ME66 air tight and does an incredible job. I love it.

Used this on a field production for the first time with the foam windscreen the audio mixer had wasn't cutting the wind. He was amazed at the difference in wind cut he got with the Rycote. It's just one of those items you need in your kit.

Primarily used on location for ENG outdoors. Nice snug fit and helps a lot on those windy location shoots.

This Softie is for an on-camera shotgun mic. I used it twice in moderate wind ( about 5-8 knots) it knocked out the rumble you'd get otherwise. The gear is expertly made by hand in England. I gladly recommend it!
