Compatible with metaSETZ TL-2 tally lights, the metaSETZ TLC-U Universal Tally Controller from Digital Arts features a DE-9/DB-9 input port to connect your compatible switcher. The controller provides eight tally outputs, Program/Preview tally, and intercom pass-through. You'll be able to connect your intercom base station into the XLR port on the rear of the TLC-U and to power the system via the integrated USB port. DE-9/DB-9 and USB cables are provided.

A: Yes, according to Digital Arts the MetaSETZ TLC-4LS works with vMix as well.

Q: 5. is the Datavideo HDR-1 Standalone H.264 Recorder and Player an option for recording?

A: Yes, you can. I use the HDR-1 to record from the 1200MU. There are 2 HDMI outputs, one for Multi-View and one is assignable. You assign the second HDMI out to be Program and record both audio and video from there.

Q: 6. Hi I have a AV Matrix VS0691 with GPIO tally interface would this work with that Video Switcher?

A: According to the manufacturer, only Tricaster models are with the supported with the Digital Arts metaSETZ TLC-4S, however the manufacturer also states about their TLC-U model: "Other Switchers – If it’s got a tally port we can make it work. With 9, 15, 25 and 37 pin variants the TLC-U supports most switchers". A: Since the radio frequency of Pocket Wizard with FCC compliance is 344Mhz, the FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger for Nikon cannot trigger the Pocket Wizards with CE compliance.

Q: 10. We have an HD550. We would like Tally and comms for 5 cameras. What products do we require for full setup?

I purchased this product for quick attachment and low angles. The Shaoe handle has a great sleek feeling to it and the threads built in work great for me beacause i only attach a light to my rig occationally.I would say the only downside to this handle would probably be that over time i am sure that it will make your hot shoe screws loose...However; the locking discs are great and it has a nice soild feel. 5

Great little add on to my DSLR setup. I've attached a flash arm to the side of this little handle which makes the grip area a bit longer and then mount a mic on the flash arm which gives better reach for the mic. 5

This works great for extremely low hand-held camera positions. It's quick to set up, and the result is relatively steady. Takes up very little space in the camera bag, which is good, because you never know when you might need it. Solid, nicely machined product. Using the mount points for a monitor is a good idea, since you can't really use the LCD at the back of the camera while you are standing over it. When I first took it out of the package, I was disappointed that the finger grooves seem to close together. I have small hands, and it was a really cramped space. However, it turns out that the balance point, even with a heavier lens like a 24-70mm f/2.8, is within the length of this handle, so the size makes sense. Using this handle, I tend to balance the camera primarily on one or two fingers, which it steadier than trying to grip it with my whole hand. 5
