The 105mm Blackstone Infrared Neutral Density 0.9 Filter from Wine Country Camera is an ND filter with an 8x filter factor that provides a 3-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.9 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing aperture or slowing exposure time, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

The design of this filter has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. To provide neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks, one layer of Blackstone ND Coating is applied to each of this filter's surfaces. The Blackstone ND Coating is also designed to help minimize any effect on a digital camera's resolution when using this filter.

This Wine Country Camera {pnsize}mm Blackstone Infrared Neutral Density 0.9 Filter is constructed from Schott Ultra White Glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. It features an aluminum-alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Compare Kase 82 mm wolverine professional ND filter kit to the master 3 kit and which is concder best buy?

A: The main difference is the Kase Master III Kit (82mm) BH #KA1121050007 • MFR #1121050007 allows you to move the filer up and down. This gives you more control to position the filter. The Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II does not have this option to move it up and down. It is subjective but the new version III is give you the best.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this system with a Canon RF 15-35? If so do you get vignetting at 15mm when stacking the ND and CPL filters?

A: By adapting the 95mm filters to an 82mm filter size, there will be no vignetting when stacking 3 filters.

Q: 3. Does a single 82mm filter create vignetting for Sony 16-35 GM at 16mm?

A: At 16mm the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II can produce a small amount of vignette. Some say they do not notice most of the time.

Q: 4. Will this work with step Will this work with step rings, 72–77, 62–77 as example?

A: Yes, you can use the Sensei 72-77mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring and the Sensei 62-77mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring with the Kase 77mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II.

Q: 5. Will these filters vignette with ultra wide lens. In my case Fuji GF 20-35mm f4.0

A: The Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II would offer thinner rings, so the likelihood that they will vignette with your Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4 is minimal.

Q: 6. Do these have any play in the fit? The set I have has a lot of play side to side on the filter and even more on the cap

A: Yes. The play is to help prevent scratches from being caused.

Q: 7. What are the dimensions of the leather case, not the package it comes in?

A: The dimensions of the pouch are roughly 4.7 x 4.3 x 1.4" / 120 x 110 x 35mm.

Q: 8. Can you use a step-down adapter to use larger filters on lenses with smaller thread sizes (e.g.82mm filter on 67mm thread lens)?

A: To use the Kase 72mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II on a 67mm size lens you can use this adapter: https://bit.ly/3U27oO8

Q: 9. Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm filter size and 110* angle of view. Will the 95mm filter kit vignette or should I consider the next size up with a step-up ring?

A: There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.

Q: 10. Hi everyone, My most used lenses are 82mm, however, I do have 200-600 that I have used filters on in the past. That is 95mm. I am not sure if its better to get the 95mm set with an 82mm step up ring - or just get the 82mm set. Not sure how often I will use filters on the 95mm lens..(though its nice to have) - I currently use Nisi square filter - and they do fit the 95mm lens - but Id rather not have to pack two filter systems. which one would you buy? thanks

A: We would recommend getting the Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II then the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (82 to 95mm), BH # KAKWMSP8295. https://bhpho.to/3LOH7g7
