A: If you used a Bowens adapter https://bhpho.to/2TeiRsc and a bowens adapter for the 580 EX https://bhpho.to/2EuSYhI then you could use it with a speedlight. The 580 EX II would be fine for some work. portraits and other closer work. For F/18 and 20' away for Fashion or large groups it will come up short.

Recently traveled with several AD600s, and the jostling in flight vibrated the bulbs loose on two of the heads, breaking one, and the other fell & shattered when I was setting up the light at my destination. Be careful when setting the flashes up after air travel. 5
